iansouthstander Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Both games moved to 1pm kick offs. Sounds a sensible decision to me.

LGTL Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 If they think it will stop anyone drinking the HC are sadly mistaken. Will be an early start that morning now, that's for sure.
trousers Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2380415,00.html http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Southampton-Games-Switched-To-1pm-2260.aspx For the observationists amongst us, you'll note that our OS uses the "Pompey" nickname in the headline, whereas the Portsmouth OS refers to us as "Southampton" rather than the "Saints". Make of that what you will. Not that I wish to stoke up the rivalry this early on....
Marsdinho Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 This was always going to happen. I'm just surprised the plod are happy for dirty Leeds to drink until 5 !!!!
trousers Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 If they think it will stop anyone drinking the HC are sadly mistaken. No doubt they'll be aware of that, but they have to move it anyway to demonstrate that they at least did all they could. (said Trousers stating the obvious)
Golden Balls Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Not bad. I thought it would be 12pm KO. Never has it stopped anyone drinking though. The last game we went out the night before and carried on right up until kick off.
Pedro Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Bet at least one of those times will change again, SKY will probably have as a lunch time game (earlier than 1-00pm)
Jeff Le Taxi Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Note to Old Bill: If you don't want anyone shaking fencing, kindly dont put it up! Yours Sincerely Jeff Le Taxi.

Make of that what you will. Not that I wish to stoke up the rivalry this early on.... In our workplace the name P****mouth brings a written warning if uttered...the P*mpey word is acceptable along with the appropriate spitting sounds...perhaps the OS can also not bring themselves to print the actual name in case it infects something.
Jack Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Not early enough for me! Girlfriend's best mate is getting married on April 7th at 3pm. So, if it is put back to midday, I've got a chance of getting to the game and then the wedding. Even if it means going to SMS in my suit. C'mon sky!
Denzil Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Who cares. I'll just go in the pub at 9 and get steamo. Denzil 1 Hants Constabulary nil.
sambosa75 Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 This will no doubt annoy the fence rattlers and pompey fans allergic to steps.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Just means I'll start drinking 2 hours earlier than I would for a 3pm, easy.
Sour Mash Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Surprised it's as late at 1pm and they haven't moved the away game to a Sunday.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Ah well, let the drinking commence early doors. HC could change the KO time to 9am for all I care, I will still be getting steamboated.
saintoaks Posted 22 June, 2011 Posted 22 June, 2011 Ive just started drinking now ......god i hate the dirty skates.
Highfield Saint Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 In our workplace the name P****mouth brings a written warning if uttered...the P*mpey word is acceptable along with the appropriate spitting sounds...perhaps the OS can also not bring themselves to print the actual name in case it infects something. Surely that's the wrong way round - a nickname infers affection, respect, friendliness
Junction 9 Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 The old bill won't stop me, I shall be injecting a mix of vodka and tequila directly into my veins using a syringe hours before kick off. Let's face it, that's what the derby is all about isn't it?
adrian lord Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 Crikey their site is awful, looks like it was designed circa 1997.
70's Mike Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 Crikey their site is awful, looks like it was designed circa 1997. must be the most modern thing about the skates then
Hatch Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 It has to be Kick off on the hour, because teaching the Skates that the big hand pointing to the twelve means x o'clock, has taken about 15 years. Having a half past kick off and trying to teach them that the big hand points to the six would confuse the hell out of them
The9 Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 Crikey their site is awful, looks like it was designed circa 1997. Funnily enough it got relaunched around 2008, looks like someone decided not to pay the web team along with everything else. Aside from that, it's, er, exactly the same as Saints' and lots of other FL teams ?
Nexstar Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 Are we going to booo Jason Pearce because he's ex-Bompey?
dannysfc Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 Fratton Park won't have thawed out by 1pm Just LOL'd at that one Jones91 Mate LOL!
dannysfc Posted 24 June, 2011 Posted 24 June, 2011 Bet at least one of those times will change again, SKY will probably have as a lunch time game (earlier than 1-00pm) Yeh I bet that they will either put the one at FP on Sky or the one at our place on Sky but we'l just have to wait to see what they decide on what to do! And if they both are on Sky then I will make sure I have room to record both/either one on my Sky Plus aswell ! COYR !!
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 8 July, 2011 Posted 8 July, 2011 has anyone watched the club guide featuring skates on saints player? the start of the video is hillarious. starts with footage of spinnaker tower then shows a chav with job****e tracksuit top on walking his dog. The dog then takes a dump lol then it shows what I can only assume is southsea whereby the tide is out and all there is muck and washed up rubbish. brilliant!
Saint Garrett Posted 8 July, 2011 Posted 8 July, 2011 LOVE Beatties celebration in the CC game in 03. Some good goals in that video !
dronskisaint Posted 8 July, 2011 Posted 8 July, 2011 Surely that's the wrong way round - a nickname infers affection, respect, friendliness It did cross my mind but c*nt is also a nickname without the inference you mention. I should start a campaign to use it as an adjective denoting pikeyness, lack of hygeine, incest, diminished brain capacity, extra fingers, cheating and thieving, smelling of fish...a cover-all word for all those things and more...suggestions below? e.g. 'You p*mpey (small p deliberate) barsteward' could mean any or all of the above? Just Friday meanderings but I was heartened when one of my staff said about a ferry from Fishbourne to 'noise of hawking then ptehsmouth' I felt genuine pride...and this is in Narfuk!
