Redbul Posted 20 June, 2011 Share Posted 20 June, 2011 Okay, I know you used to be able to do this 'cos I've done it. I want to export as a .csv file all the info on the albums/tracks I have on my iPod, but don't seem to be able to....does anyone know how to do this? Thanx.... hutch Posted 21 June, 2011 Share Posted 21 June, 2011 Not something I've done, but wouldn't you rather sync the info on the ipod with itunes, and export the file from itunes?
hutch Posted 21 June, 2011 Share Posted 21 June, 2011 Yep, that works. in itunes: Edit>select all Right click>copy Then paste into a spreadsheet and save as .csv The rating field is blank, though, but everything else is there.
Redbul Posted 21 June, 2011 Author Share Posted 21 June, 2011 F. F. S.... That was a real head slap moment; thanks Hutch. This works straight from the iPod list too obviously. Sorry, I was overthinking this and was looking for something like an 'Export as .CSV' or '.TXT' function, and all I had to do was a simple Ctrl A, C, and V.... I've recently changed PCs but I've got an old iPod classic which contains all my CDs and which I fill manually so the only back ups I have are the original CDs; I can't sync with iTunes. Thanks Hutch....
