Hi, another local vacancy (Salisbury) I need to fill which I thought I'd run by you guys:

 

Senior Application Support Engineer - Leading Microsoft Reseller

 

My client, a rapidly expanding Leading Microsoft Reseller, has an opening for a Senior Application Support Engineer at their offices in Downton, just outside of Salisbury.

The Senior Application Support Engineer will have a minimum of 36 months experience in a Systems Application Help desk based role, with a proven record of providing both remote and telephone support - to both INTERNAL and EXTERNAL clients.

 

You will be methodical and resolve technical issues quickly, and correctly. It is a requirement that the Senior Application Support Engineer be well versed in SQL Server querying, WAN, LAN, TC-PIP, Firewalls, and Switches. A good understanding of Windows and Windows Server OS, MS Office is also desired.

 

In order to succeed in this position you will have excellent customer-facing skills, telephone manner and be well presented - as a proportion of this position will involve completing on-site installations and training to the end user.

 

You will also be responsible for the day to day management of 2 Support Engineers as well as a Systems Administrator - so proven man management experience is also a must.

This is a high profile position within the organisation, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
