dune Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 They started to re-paint the metal structure that goes around the stadium before last season, then randomly stopped half way through? Even now you can see some has been painted, some hasn't. Any reason why this is? A shortage of right handed paint brushes.
Jones91 Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 Put padding on the back of the seats, so I don't bruise my leg every 'important' goal.
Denzil Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 Get rid of the seats and turn the ground into and all standing stadium. Allow smoking and drinking on the terraces. Ban wigs, face paint, women and children. Pay on the turnstiles like the good old days. AGAINST MODERN FOOTBALL.

I'm against doing any of that with the possible exception of reinstating some terraces and maybe drinking in the ground (I'd have to see a pilot to decide the likely effects of that), but I'm still against modern football. Anyway, you can get all of that in some eastern European leagues but I bet you haven't been to "enjoy" it.

georgeg Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 How long before someone with a beard, posts about the need to sell real ales, despite the complete unsuitability to do so...FFS No beard here I'm afraid .. but the reason they want real ale is because tetleys is ****e .. for revenue purposes alone you don't keep selling a grossly inferior product do you? .. I'm no Alan Sugar but that seems commercial madness! .. I'm not particularly into lager so I can't comment about that but know I have to be pretty desperate to buy bitter inside the stadium .. something I would do much more often if it was much better quality!! .. the club have been told and hopefully are investigating albeit progress appears to be at a snails pace .. I imagine there are contracts to be considered etc .. we live in hope!

Bucks Saint Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 Like any enterprise that is on the up, we should open another branch. Preferably much closer to my house so that I can get to more home games
oldsarum Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 Another Real Ale fan here who doesn't have a beard I don't see why it's impractable to provide real ale as Brighton are managing to supply decent beer in their new ground http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/Stadium/0,,10433~2207114,00.html
SNSUN Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 Would also like to see some form of pre match ritual to get the crowd going. The occasions that we do the R & W cards on every seat create a fantastic visual spectacle, but obviously that would only work for full house matches. The eagle at Benfica's ground is an amazing spectacle so perhaps we need our own version of that Everyone should be given torches at evening games, then shine them in the air when Flybe fly overhead. It's look like a halo from up there. Plus useful if the floodlights ever cut out...
angelman Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 Another Real Ale fan here who doesn't have a beard I don't see why it's impractable to provide real ale as Brighton are managing to supply decent beer in their new ground http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/Stadium/0,,10433~2207114,00.html Their real ale seems to be on sale before and after the game but not at half time. Personally I would not choose SMS as top spot to have a drink. I would love a Ringwood Best or 49er at half time.
Crowds Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 Astro turf in the Concourse and insulation done and a decent beer!!
Saint-scooby Posted 16 June, 2011 Posted 16 June, 2011 More pineapple chunks in the mens loos, gets a tad nasty in there at times. Oh and real ale, I dont have a beard either x
Alan56 Posted 17 June, 2011 Posted 17 June, 2011 Improve the accoustics so we can actually hear what is being said, Have a full reading of all the half time and full time scores not just the league we are in, the prem, Pimpey and Bomo and finally get rid of the absolute prat that supposedly acts as a chear leader prior to ko and at half time. What a complete knob head!!
adrian lord Posted 17 June, 2011 Posted 17 June, 2011 Brighton's new ground will have real ale. They'll also have poppers in the fridge.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 17 June, 2011 Posted 17 June, 2011 Oh !..are you going to become a Brighton fan, then ? No, I'm not fussed as I don't drink real ale.
Saint_clark Posted 17 June, 2011 Posted 17 June, 2011 Another Real Ale fan here who doesn't have a beard I don't see why it's impractable to provide real ale as Brighton are managing to supply decent beer in their new ground http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/Stadium/0,,10433~2207114,00.html Brighton are spending an absolute bomb on their facilities/stock. It's completely unsustainable for a club of their size. Unless Bloom can get them established in the Prem they're gonna go on a downer again once his money runs out.
