SO5 4BW Posted 19 June, 2011 Posted 19 June, 2011 Was David Peach the ball boy in 1966? Absolutely -ball boy at the World Cup final - and as this one has dragged on too long the other future '76 Saint at Wembley - easier to get I would have thought - was Jim McCalliog who played and scored in the FA cup final for Sheff Wed.
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 20 June, 2011 Posted 20 June, 2011 It has been more than 15 minutes, so can I suggest an easy question: On 19th January 1980, Saints played Man City at the Dell and won 4-1 with goals from Channon, Ball, Watson. Who scored Saints' fourth goal with his first touch in league football? (I was there! )
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 20 June, 2011 Posted 20 June, 2011 Any takers? If it is not answered this evening I will try to get on and post the answer at some stage.
SaintJackoInHurworth Posted 20 June, 2011 Posted 20 June, 2011 That wouldn't be Steve Moran, would it? Correct!!
Colinjb Posted 20 June, 2011 Author Posted 20 June, 2011 What prize did Bobby Stokes win, that he couldn't take full advantage of, in 1976?

Big Ron fan Posted 21 June, 2011 Posted 21 June, 2011 They went top of the league for the first time (after a 1-0 win at Boro??)
Big Ron fan Posted 21 June, 2011 Posted 21 June, 2011 In case I'm right...my question is: Who was the first player, while playing for Saints, to play full international football for a country that is not part of the British Isles?

Lets B Avenue Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 You're right, I can't read. So before 1991 then. But the question was "whilst playing for Saints." So we are no closer to knowing the year. We need Big Ron Fan back on here, pronto.
Big Ron fan Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 Apologies for the delay in getting back on here guys (and ladies). It is in fact Brucie, who played for Zimbabwe while at Saints. Well done Let's B Avenue! Next question please!
Lumypie Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 As it has been over 15 mins let me interject with a nice simple question: - Who scored via a header directly from a Rory Delap throw to win Saints a game at St Marys?
Lets B Avenue Posted 23 June, 2011 Posted 23 June, 2011 As it has been over 15 mins let me interject with a nice simple question: - Who scored via a header directly from a Rory Delap throw to win Saints a game at St Marys? Jo Tessem v Sunderland Dec 02.

Colinjb Posted 24 June, 2011 Author Posted 24 June, 2011 Which Harry Redknapp signing missed a penalty for Saints against QPR, the first penalty Saints had missed for over 10 years? It can only be Nigel Quashie, surely.
