No disrespect, but it's great to actually see a league table without the likes of Dagenham and Redbridge, Yeovil, Walsall, Oldham, Tranmere etc....

But you are still being disrespectful. Saying "no disrespect" beforehand doesn't make it any better. ;)

I won't miss Wycombe and Rochdale in a hurry.

At the moment the GD's and goals scored do not seem to be doing the job of seperating the teams.

Never mind. We are probably ahead in the conference co-ordinators column.

Just as long as that's not how the table is at the end of the season.

Looking at the teams in there makes me realise just how competitive this league is going to be, any one of 13 teams could win it IMO.

Really looking forward to it.

I do look forward to the annual amusing "look at where we are in the table" thread before the start of every season since the beginning of time :-)

It,s going to be a very big challenge this coming season.

This will be the acid test for Adkins. Not when he was in this league with Scunny. And certainly not last season.

If Barnsley finish in that position at the end of the season i'll chop off my Willy and mail it to Megan Fox.

Wise words. I tell you, we are going to have to scrap hard to stay in this league and anything above the relegation zone will be ok in this first season.

Hope NA has got the experience, we also need to get signing players soon rather than the usual lastminute.com that we are used too.

This is certainly going to add a bit more spice to this season

Looking at this, does anyone know when the BBC and Sky sports change out their tables from last season?

BBC do it on July 1st as that's the official breakpoint between seasons, whereas Sky do it when the hell they feel like it because they're not bothered about stuff like that.

I copied it from the bbc website.

I actually saw that the League Two table had changed this morning but its since gone back to the 2010-11 season. Wimbledon were top! I imagine it'll be sometime this week, if not Friday.

The BBC changed the tables earlier today, but they messed it up.

If you just click on one of the League name it shows the 2010/11 table , but if you click on one of the teams it shows the 2011/12 table.

I can see your point after what we have experienced in recent years but, I sincerely hope we don't return to the days where we are described as struggling Saints in the national press and that we actually do far better than 'anything' above the relegation zone. Considering how far up the Championship Norwich, Leeds and Millwall finished last season I'd hope we could at least match the lowest finish of any of them considering our apparent resources. Further to that, I too would like to see us sign players sooner rather than later but provided they're the right players that have time to fit in with the current squad during pre season and ready from the start at the beginning of the new season come August.

Very fair comment. However, Norwich have been stereotyped as a little backwater team, when in fact they are a very astute outfit. Lambert got in the transfer market early and ws very decisive. Saints have been lacking in the past 10 years as as far as I can see.

You are obsessed with this whole transfer thing.

If we're discussing the table, can we discuss the fixtures?

How long has it been since we last won on the opening day of the season? Must be about 15 years now or something ridiculous. I remember reading it was a lengthy time in a programme a few seasons ago.
