itchen_dan Posted 12 June, 2011 Share Posted 12 June, 2011 Billy Davies has been sacked at Forest and they are in talks with brolley man - Steve Mclaren http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~2375078,00.html
S-Clarke Posted 12 June, 2011 Share Posted 12 June, 2011 Now that is a club which interferes too much with the manager, Davies never had any scope to build a team and buy who he wanted. I thought he'd have walked before being sacked though tbf. Forest fans are fuming about this (after taking a quick look on their forum)

moon monkey Posted 12 June, 2011 Share Posted 12 June, 2011 That little twerp was gonna go soon. He was working 3 days a week and kept asking for more money. He isn't a bad manager but do not like him for his behaviour over the play off games in 2007

To suggest that the board interfered with Davies' job is absolutely hilarious, he constantly whinged that he wasn't backed in the transfer market, but he must have spent more in transfer fees (almost solely on strikers) in the Championship during his time in charge there than any other club. Badger Posted 12 June, 2011 Share Posted 12 June, 2011 I'll be surprised if Martin O'Neill does not feature in the running for the Forest job.
Dark Munster Posted 12 June, 2011 Share Posted 12 June, 2011 Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.
