hamster Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 I use that road loads, not aware of a problem with speeding. Actually, we had one right opposite our house a short while ago. When I took their cup of tea out to them (as if) they informed me it wasn't a speeding trap, it was number plate recognition linked direct to the road tax database and they were having a field day collaring all the the false SORN claimants. I'm actually in favour of that one.

saint si Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Traffic normally does 35-40 on the very wide and very straight bit just after you come off the avenue roundabout (on on way to it). They'll definitely catch a few.

saintscottofthenortham Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 not in favour of speeding cameras catching people speeding then? After I was done for doing 34mph just after a 40 limit, no. C*nts.

scotty Posted 11 June, 2011 Author Posted 11 June, 2011 After I was done for doing 34mph just after a 40 limit, no. C*nts. Are you exaggerating? What about the mythical "+ 10% + 2mph" rule? I never heard of anyone getting done for 34 before.

stug76 Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 mods should delete this thread, more people caught breaking the law the better.

stug76 Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Just think, if you'd only stumped up your fiver you could have pmailed Baj..... That's an excellent point, thanks. Maybe we should all take a moment to reflect how our lives might be different had we made different choices in life? Anyway, I'm off to go and break the law a little bit and expect to get away with it. Laters.

I broke the law this morning apparently, by flashing my headlights at another van to warn him of the impending speed trap. Cant say I feel especially bad about it.

hamster Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Always ask if they are real coppers before answering any questions.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Isn't this sort of thing technically illegal? (Informing people of speed traps)
dune Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Isn't this sort of thing technically illegal? (Informing people of speed traps) Is Flashing illegal?
scotty Posted 11 June, 2011 Author Posted 11 June, 2011 Isn't this sort of thing technically illegal? (Informing people of speed traps) If it was, surely every satnav on sale would be illegal. They all have speed camera alerts. I'm just filling a niche here.
badgerx16 Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Is Flashing illegal? Only if you are in that mac !
