badgerx16 Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Remember she comes from the 'ALL men are potential rapists' school of feminism and she has to be sensationalist or nobody would know who she is. I hope all mass media formats will now just shun the increasingly irrelevant, prune skinned, old trog. ( As for her main raison d'etre, my wife is always asking why would women want to be equal when they are already superior ? ).
Colinjb Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 The one week I miss question time something genuinely interesting happens, typical. I cannot believe she would say that. It's possibly the worst slur against our armed forces that could be said. Those men fight to preserve her right to free speech, hopefully she'll remember that next time she insults them. I was gob smacked.....the question about rape was "if it is true, and gaddaffi is using rape and a weapon against his own people. does that justify the use of ground troops" she said it does not as it would not be long before our troops would start "raping' people also, she commented about the sexualisation of young girls in this country and blamed barbie and (get this) their dads..blamed their dads for flirting with their young daughters.. ****ing disgusting and right up there with the worst griffin would/could come out with

revolution saint Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 I was disappointed with Greer's answer about the Libiyan rape allegations - mainly because it's such an obviously stupid allegation dreamt up by a PR company employed to foster support for another war. It's right up there with the Iraqi's ripping babies out of incubators in Kuwaiti hospitals (which was another propaganda trick). The idea that it's being used as a weapon? That they're being given viagra? Clearly mental. Instead Greer decides to legitimise the allegation which was stupid.

hamster Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Course you do, like rain on your wedding day, eh? No. Rain on your wedding day would be bad luck I think. Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 With what! You carry a whetstone in your pocket? Doesn't everyone. I was a boy scout once. Be prepared was the motto. Mind you, that obviously didn't apply to making sure you had a knife and not two hundred spoons. That's why they kicked me out. Well for that and the "unpleasantness". And the drinking. hypochondriac Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Flirting is the wrong word totally, but there isa difference in your relationships with mother and father / son and daughter. Of course but that isn't what she said. There was a debate about men in childcare on radio two a couple of days ago. Many comments were good (we have a responsibility to get men in childcare, men are needed just as much as women etc) but Also some staggeringly ignorant comments about why would men want to work with children and that there will always be suspicion there and you have to ask the motives of a man who wants to work with children. Rubbish like this just fuels these idiots.
