Tom8558 Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 Bar vuvuzelas, what do you think of the idea? I remember an England game a couple of years back and they had a band of about 8 playing tunes and it sounded pretty good.
Colinjb Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 The england supporters band. Famous for five minutes circa 1998, still somehow sticking around now. It would be a bad idea, it parodies itself too quickly or becomes irritating. Non-league grounds invited it quite a lot a few years ago but the response from many fans was always negative. #Stick that drum, up your bum, whaoooooo--- a, whaoooooooo -a............#

You want to hear musical instraments learn the cello FFS. Dont ever post this sort of nonsense of a football forum again, you get me blud? FFS
swannymere Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 All the 'Cool' people will hate it, **** them, let them be miserable the normal fans will like it for the novelty but if you're sat anywhere near me you'll be blowing the instrument through another orifice.

Patrick Bateman Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 F*ck it, anyone play the bass guitar. I can play drums, I know a few vocalists. DellDays plays recorder and I'm pretty sure a few people on here can play keyboards. Let's not bother with the football and just watch the band in the Chapel, great idea. I'll get my Strachan wig out while I smash the drums.

Who needs to watch football when the world can watch and listen to us crazy fans.
Thedelldays Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 maybe we can get our lot to do stuff like this...SMS will be rocking
Nexstar Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 Musical instruments should be banned from all football grounds
Colinjb Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 Musical instruments should be banned from all football grounds Oh, I don't know, a few descretely placed tubas could be effective in raising some tension.
millbrooktonian Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 The kazoo from the great escape game against wimbledon was pretty good
RonManager Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 I like the idea.. Im pretty mean on the recorder I've got a comb and some shiny toilet paper.
Saints4Prem Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 Albion band - end of. Now they were class but we're showing our age !
hamster Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 Now they were class but we're showing our age ! I would give my eye teeth to have them back as our house band. Saints are really missing a trick there Imo.
sydneysaint907 Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 If the Albion Band has gone the way of most "good" music, then bring on the Salvos and play "pass the bucket" at half-time.
hamster Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 If the Albion Band has gone the way of most "good" music, then bring on the Salvos and play "pass the bucket" at half-time. They're still about, they do the remembrance gig every year i believe.

um pahars Posted 10 June, 2011 Posted 10 June, 2011 No F***ing way. Having been to many dinlo grounds where they have had drums or whatever, I can safely say this is one thing that could make me rethink the season ticket.

Fan The Flames Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Musical instruments at the football is like marriage guidance, you know it's really over but you give it one last chance.
TheMidfieldGeneral Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Albion band - end of. Can we make this happen... Even just one more time before I pop off this mortal coil!!!
Right sider Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 No, no, no and no. Was just about to write this. Just makes the atmosphere very monotone. Probably explains Englands performances.
hamster Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 Can we make this happen... Even just one more time before I pop off this mortal coil!!! You know what, I reckon it's the sort of thing that Markus would have absolutely loved. Their association with Saints epitomises the community spirit of the club and city. The Albion Band are the reason I ended up supporting Saints, that is a fact.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 You should be banned from SWF for this. Moron.

suewhistle Posted 11 June, 2011 Posted 11 June, 2011 (edited) 'normal' people will hate it. Retards will love it. If Turkish is against it I'm all for it! Not sure my whistle would make much impact, but I've got a much noisier instrument on which I can play OWTSGMI to get the crowd (and particularly Turkish) going.;-) Edited 11 June, 2011 by suewhistle typo
