why are you being a ****..why is it all or nothing..why cant fans for once see where we go and see what happens without having a pop when there is no real need..(in many opinions)...?

you just said he did a god job..then you rant like this...what is wrong with you..?

Chill out man, just saying it how it is. I'm not having a pop at Cortese or anyone, I am perfectly happy with how the club is being run. Jesus christ can't someone have an opinion round here.

I can't be bothered to find the OP but the idiot that thinks all NC has done is just 'sign a few cheques', you sir, are a complete ballbag.

Nicola has re-shaped the club, bottom to top, with work still in progress.

Now I'm no luvie but everything NC has done with the exception of the Le Tiss situation and Ted Bates Trophy, has been golden.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but any more news on Cork TT?

Top post full of great ideas. We could all shove cotton wool into our cheeks and pretend we're all Marlon Brando whilst singing , or double slap each other in the faces shouting "capiche", or even better, go to away games armed with mock M16 assault rifles chanting "Say hello to my little friend". From what I'm told, Nicola has a great sense of humour and would really appreciate the racial stereotyping.

Dont be a din, Carlito was Cuban and on the run from Castro, Cortese would find being likened to a refugee an insult you div.

Turkish = crawly bumlick.

And the quote "say hello to my little friend" is from scarface and not carlitos way

Ahh arse, schoolboy error FFS, Tony Motana was Cuban i meant, anyway, it's does't matter what the film was, likening Cortese to a Cuban immigrant is shameful.

Hey say what you like, i am just getting everyone to honour our chairman and saviour in a befitting way, not with some crap song which is embarassing. We are one lucky club.

He does appear the best at ****ing off Pardew I agree.

But he is doing a pretty good job at the moment but we will have to see how he gets on in the next couple of years.

£27 + £3 booking tax, or £29 on the day. This for Champsionship football.

He certainly knows how to charge. I'm sure that when we get back in the Premier League you're all going to love paying £40 for a seat behind the goal.

He's a brilliant chairman so long as you don't mind paying top prices.

Don't be such a pleb, I was merely pointing out the fact that getting Saints out of League 1 hardly qualifies him as being the best chairman in the country.

as far as i have seen, Cortese has done a pretty good so far,

he's employed a decent manager (admittedly he let one go, but if the relationship between manager & chairman isn't good someone has to go)

he's improved the squad & hung on to important players (so far).

He's improving the facilities & continuing to invest in youth.

he's on target with his 5 year plan

I can see that some are concerned about being "priced out of football" but the aim since ML & NC came to saints for us to be self financing. Where should these finances come from & how do our ticket prices compare to other teams aiming to win promotion from the NPC?

edit>oh & as mentioned above the MLT situation is/was unfortunate.

For anyone who doesn't think Cortese is great, what chairperson would you prefer?

I paid £29 for a ticket in the 'Cheese Wedge' at Elland road 2 seasons ago. That was for League 1 football. That is what you call top price.

And i'd rather pay £40 in the prem than £72 like QPR fans!

If we want a successful club we have to pay our way. I applaud Cortese for this pricing structure. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and think It's a fantastic piece of visionary ticket pricing which enables us to pay a decent price for a quality product.

On another note, has anyone noticed the personal message from Cortese on the car park barriers? As you leave after putting your ticket into the machine it wishes you to "have a nice day" What a lovely gesture from Nicky. This proves that not only is he a superb businessman he also cares about each and every one of us.

lowe or cortese...who would you have..?

I'm happy with whoever the Leibherrs want to employ, the important thing is having rich backers, whoever they choose to run the thing is not that important IMO.

would be happier if it was cortese or lowe..?

Cortese, because it's what the Leibherrs want. If they wanted Lowe they would hire Lowe.

what about you...how hard is it to answer a question...just give an answer or ignore it..trying to sound like politician

how WOULD YOU be happier with....Lowe or Cortese....

Cortese, because Lowe is a c*nt.

Do you really think of the Leibherrs sacked Cortese and appointed Lowe we would be in a much worse situation? Apart from the fans reaction of course.

If you've got billionaire backers and a good manager it makes little difference who is chairman IMO.

yes i do...lowes record at getting managers is very ****e IMO...

arry, wigley, jan, wotte, gray all poor poor choices for saints........NC, pardew (if that was his choice) and Adkins...and then recognising a good one and signing him up long term...on that front, yes I do think we will be worse off

imagine that fella from bournemouth as chairman...christ

Lowe's record with manager is sh!te but he did always have financial constraints. Cortese could only poach a manager from the league above because we are owned by billionaires. Nothing excuses Wigley or Poortvleit though.

That bloke at Bournemouth hasn't done too bad considering what he has to work with, we only finished a few places above them - do you think Cortese would have finished so high if he had AFCB's budget/resources. To get into the play-offs on a shoestring selling their two best players along the way was a fantastic achievement.

would you rather lowe or cortese....serious question...lowe or cortese

why do have to chose between those? How about Cortorse or John Ryan? To be honest I care more about who the owners are.

That is a nice gesture. Whenever i've been infracted it is always signed off "All the best, SaintsWeb". The little touches make all the difference.

Looking at the others i dont think there is anyone i'd swap him for. He may not get it right everytime but which successful people please all of the people all of the time? I can honestly see 25 years into the future and see a statue erected in his honour and him being the modern Ted Bates or us playing in the Cortese Stadium. This guy is taking us places and i for one think we should start honouring him at matches. The Cortese song is sh*t and embarassing. I'd say some more subtle support, such as everyone going to away games in Mafia fancy dress or something similar to honour his Italian roots? How about we get the Saints trust to organise a weekend showing of all the godfather films, invite Super Nicky along and drink Cianti all weekend? This guy is class and we need to start acting with class or he'll be pull the plug on us FFS.

How about celebrating the italian and swiss connection by dressing as pizza topped with gruyere (the nearest swiss cheese to Markus Liebher's home). Or carry ticking violin cases.

Nice headline Turkish...are you expecting a free season ticket as reward for your enthusiasm?

Is there any other possible answer than ....YES?

It is a football club and what has class to do with it? in the modern society we are all equal there is no class :) ok some are more equal than others but there you go.

the answer is still yes so let it go.

other than Nicky C... who actually would you class as a very good/great owner or chairman..?

Now Nicky has set the bench mark for what makes a great chairman i feel others need to start raising their game. The days of Ted Bates and Simon Jordan are over, they are the remenants of a bygone era where the distain for the fans and the 4-4-2 formation also belong. Nicky is the future for all chairman and the model for which others should aspire. The way he is rebuilding this club is incredible.

I know, just thinking about it is enough to keep one hard all day.
