Looking at the others i dont think there is anyone i'd swap him for. He may not get it right everytime but which successful people please all of the people all of the time? I can honestly see 25 years into the future and see a statue erected in his honour and him being the modern Ted Bates or us playing in the Cortese Stadium. This guy is taking us places and i for one think we should start honouring him at matches. The Cortese song is sh*t and embarassing. I'd say some more subtle support, such as everyone going to away games in Mafia fancy dress or something similar to honour his Italian roots? How about we get the Saints trust to organise a weekend showing of all the godfather films, invite Super Nicky along and drink Cianti all weekend? This guy is class and we need to start acting with class or he'll be pull the plug on us FFS.

You are right, but are you also bumming him. I presume the avatar is not a picture of you? If you are then is it true it smells of roses?

Brilliant idea, lets show him how classy we think he is, by showing how much we know about Italy and suggesting he is in the mafia, really subtle.

I'm sure he'd see the humour in it. Plus Italians have been know for their class and style. We could start by dressing better in the stands at SMS, honestly, we have some scruffy mugs in our fan base FFS

I am honouring him, like some of our fans have ex players as their avatar, i am honouring our super chairman.

thought you were more likely to be "you know what I'm talking bout willis" type guy.

I am actually also delighted by the chairman. I will be back in england for the first time in 3 yrs in september so looking forward to going the other way from when i left.

Thanks nicola,

Agree, the ginger wigs for Strachan worked well

I think the OP has to dust off his finest sergio tacchini, fila and fiorucci clobber, shine a light through the darkness of painted faces and sh*t cortese chants and lead the way....

If so, i think he'll need a statue too...where to erect it?

If Cortese was the best chairman he wouldn't employ illiterate idiots to write for the OS

Sowing the seeds of success Mr Cortese, sewing is what you do to make curtains and repair torn clothes.

The scene: St Marys Stadium one stormy June night. Turkish barges his way pass security, shoulder charges the door, and bursts into the boardroom . He falls at the feet of his exasperated idol -

Cortese: Oh no, not you again.

Turkish: Messiah! Messiah!

Cortese: I am NOT the Messiah!

Turkish: I say you are Lord, and I should know. I've followed a few.

Disgruntled SFC staff: He's not the messiah! he's a very naughty boy.

Not quite the best chairman, remember that Al Fayed has given Fulhams fans that fantastic Michael Jackson statue.

So until we get something similar, he will only be second best.

I'll start the whip round for a Craig David statue.

But dressing as the Mafia isn't racist, offensive or stereotypical?

Ginger wigs and kilts to "honour" our scottish manager suggested that all scottish people are part of a race which has been abused for decades due to the colour of their hair and are also transvestites. Dressing in smart suits as mafia bosses suggest he is what he is, a rich, powerful influentual businessman who everyone admires and respects even if they dont like him. I think he'd love it.

If we really want to compete with Fulham then we ought to have a statue of Gary Glitter at the very least.

I still maintain that if cortese had bought us in 2004 we wouldn't have been relegated.

Yes, indeed. Had he been playing in that game against Everton then Cortese would of taken the ball into the corner flag in the last minute. F'sure.
