Minsk Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 anyone been to benidorm...? sticky vicky, kinky karen..? Loads of times, my parents lived there for 7 years - at the Poniente end. It's okay, if you like being surrounded by pi.sed up Brits on your holiday. Personally, I depart on Tuesday for 3.5 weeks to the Crimea and southern Ukraine. Starting in Yalta and ending in Odessa, with a few other places - including Balaklava and Sevastopol - enroute.
LGTL Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Poor man's Magaluf. Have a word! Zante is off the scale, we had 2 people die and the mayor threatening to close everything down when we were last out there! Out of Malia, San Antonio, Kavos, Magaluf and Ayia Napa i'd go back to Zante everytime.

As you say Benidorm has a much larger age range as it's not really a big 18-30 destination which might suit you better.

You make your own agenda and fun. Plenty of loose women around though.

Nexstar Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Whereabouts in Kenya? I went there and to Tanzania on safari 3 years ago, great place. Nakuru, NW of Nairobi. I'm going with Kenyan Adventure, booked about 3 months before Saints announced their plans! Also doing a day trip - Safari, Thomson Falls and the Equator. bridge too far Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Friends of ours live near Javea and, one day, they took us to Benidorm (their daughter was working as a Rep / Resort manager there at the time). We were amazed - we thought we were in Blackpool or similar! Hardly any real Spanish atmosphere at all. As some have said above, just loads of drunk Brits and very blonde older ladies with skin looking like leather. Whatever floats your boat, I guess (or sub in TDD's case)

Turkish Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Your mate Stu has I recollect. Yes, i believe he has. He is not my mate btw, i've only ever met him twice. Once after the Pompey home game when i bumped into him in town and also had the misfortune of being in the same pub as him before the Bournemouth away game. iansums Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 Third time to Tenerife, love the Canaries, we often go Easter time or late October (half-term). Have hired a car before and seen Mt Teide but this year we'll be having a very relaxing time just chilling by the pool. Will go to Siam Water Park for a day as a treat for my daughter (and me). TBH after Orlando last year and New York we really fancy doing bugger all and just relaxing in the sun. We're already looking at holidays for next year, the wife is talking about a cruise. We've never done one before and I'm not too sure if I fancy it.

dune Posted 11 June, 2011 Share Posted 11 June, 2011 If you're doing the drive along the coast taking in Los Gigantes and Masca I would recomend Buena Vista Del Norte for a meal. There are several restaurants and it's good local food (seafood the speciality) at reasonable prices. Just look for where the locals are eating and you can't go wrong.
