A lot of Saints fans would probably pass Adkins and Crosby on the street and not realise who they were, let alone the youth scouting team!

I'm not too sure about that, a lot of the season ticket holders around me in the Kingsland struggle to tell the players apart! Of course an awful lot would know who Adkins is through looking at the matchday program or interviews in the media, but I bet you many are unaware of what he looks like.

FWIW, I should think the OS is waiting for a slow(er) news month to announce it, or they just won't bother. There's nothing resembling consistency with what gets posted as news and what doesn't.

How could a "news month" be any slower than the one we're currently in? MLG makes a perfectly relevant point - these people's details are normally made publicly available by the club. This guy's haven't been. Personally I'd be interested to know if he's employed by the club because of what he said about the club's recruitment policy. It's far from clear to what funds are available, and whether the summer will be spent bringing in potential Premier League quality players or S****horpe rejects.
hughieslastminutegoal Posted 8 June, 2011 Posted 8 June, 2011 Well they are all listed on the Saints website and there were articles about David Burke joining on the OS and Rod Ruddick was the man that scouted and coached Gareth Bale as a young boy and numerous other players for the Saints Bath Satellite academy. A bath satellite? This is beginning to sound like an episode of The Clangers.

The Academy Administrator Derek Old has been in touch with a promising kid who is at Chelsea's academy over there. Apparently the only issue is with his studies as he's only 15. Just thought I'd mention it!
