Hatch Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7683877.stm Chosen AC Milan instead of us. More fool him.
trousers Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 Well, that renders LifeLong's plan useless then......and here was me still clinging onto his every word....
Pancake Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 Idiot, the revolutionary setup at Saints would have suited him.
JohnnyFartPants Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 I wouldn't worry about Beckham. He is a flash in the pan bit part player and will be gone as quickly as he has arrived.
NickG Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 not saints related... I think if he was ugly and not married to a popstar he would being raved about a great deal more. Top player and great attitude, pity he was too old for us and we turned him down.
Saints67 Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 Clearly does not fit in with our Youth policy. Jog on Mr Beckham.
Petersfield Saint Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 I suspect he could not afford our wages Lol!
krissyboy31 Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 Clearly does not fit in with our Youth policy. Jog on Mr Beckham. Ah! But now were have a 'play more experienced players and bugger the concequences of appearance bonus' policy. I think HCDAJFU.
Saint Billy Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 At least the skates did not get him as had been rumoured.
Weston Super Saint Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 I heard a rumour it was Lowe that turned him down. Something about not being his [Lowe's] idea
NickG Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 Lowe had agreed terms but didn't follow it through as feared backlash on saints web for him being Lowe signing and JP not scouted him personally
Window Cleaner Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7683877.stm Chosen AC Milan instead of us. More fool him. What we're not signing Beckham!!, oh FFS that's the last straw,Wilde,Lowe, the Saints Trust and everybody else out. Bet it was because of appearance money, when will we ever learn.
itchen Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 'appy 'arry said on the TV tonight that he was keen to sign him if Milan don't. I can imagine he'd be dead impressed by Pompey's state-of-the-art training facilities. And Posh would be well happy at Gunwharf Quays.

Top player and great attitude, pity he was too old for us and we turned him down. Is his mrs still a pop star then?
Leslie Charteris Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 No better than what we have. Yeah, and we got shot of Dyer... Tsk!
Totton Red Posted 22 October, 2008 Posted 22 October, 2008 Come on Son Of Bob....apply some closure based on forum ethos rather than personal agenda?
AwaySaint1 Posted 23 October, 2008 Posted 23 October, 2008 Did hear a rumour that he was all set to join us until someone mentioned the fact Shearer will be his new boss.
dubai_phil Posted 23 October, 2008 Posted 23 October, 2008 LMFAO However, never one to miss a trick, Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is hopeful of giving Becks a Premier League option, and could come in with a last-minute offer. That's according to the Mirror, with Redknapp even claiming Posh would prefer the shops in Portsmouth to those in Milan. Redknapp said: "David is a player I think about and you can't tell me he wouldn't make some great crosses for Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/2437947/Paper-View-Football-news-rumours-headlines.html

Window Cleaner Posted 23 October, 2008 Posted 23 October, 2008 Paul Smith, Burberry, Ted Baker, Ralf Lauren, what more could she want? Bet if Beckham signed for Portsmouth she wouldn't go anywhere near the dump. Having said that, anyone on the Great South this Sunday? say hi to Paula for me,she used to help my girl with her training at Font Romeu, a lovely lady.
Secret Site Agent Posted 23 October, 2008 Posted 23 October, 2008 Clearly does not fit in with our Youth policy. Jog on Mr Beckham. Shouldn't we be looking to sign Brookham. (I know he is called Brooklyn, so don't rave. It was just a Old Person Altheimers moment and I think it would be a good name for him. ****, I'm bored, still at work and can't be arsed.) I'm gonna have another cheese and ham toastie
Secret Site Agent Posted 27 October, 2008 Posted 27 October, 2008 Paul Smith, Burberry, Ted Baker, Ralf Lauren, what more could she want? Is this the new front line? Don't remember any of these signing for Skatesmouth.
bridge too far Posted 27 October, 2008 Posted 27 October, 2008 Apparently 'arry's going to persuade him to sign for Spurs now
Secret Site Agent Posted 27 October, 2008 Posted 27 October, 2008 Apparently 'arry's going to persuade him to sign for Spurs now Imagine the 'Sweetie' involved in that!!! Alledgedly

fareham saint phil Posted 28 October, 2008 Posted 28 October, 2008 You didn't run in your Saint's shirts did you?? I bet you did, they should do replica singlets for us runners, some nice red and white striped coolmax would be a great jobby. With your name on the back for places like London and N York. We had Saints t-shirts on and the first "oh god a scummer" comment was as we lined up to start (hence Paula was finished and on her way home by then as we done a gentle jog inbetween sharp intakes of breath and cursing last nights curry). In fact there was quite alot of people that when they saw the t-shirts gave us an extra round of applause so i would think there was plenty of saints around, also had chats with a few ports*outh supporters who were in shock re redsnapp going so had a laugh with the ones with a sense of humour
