England v Switzerland

Walcott never seems to use his pace for England - is that because he wants to prove he's more than just a speed merchant? You always play to your strengths, and if he just stuck to the touchline and stopped cutting inside every time he'd be much more effective.

He has always lacked a footballers brain, sadly.

you know you're not allowed to say that on here - even if it is true.

So I've just seen!

Not saying Theo isn't a good player, he is.... but he adds one dimension, that's all. AOC has pace and footballing intelligence; you only have to look at the decisions he makes on the pitch to see he's quite a way ahead of TW and therefore, has more potential.

You've really done it now!

Btw, I completely agree with you.

Does anyone really care if England dont make it to Euro 2012 ?

I couldnt give a toss if Brand England dont make it, its not about honour anymore anyway, its all about merchandise and TV rights.

The players are all too tired and under club instructions to make any effort anyway.

F**k them...

I care.... The GF's folks have a gaff near Krakow for me & the lads (about 20 of us) to camp at & locals to get tickets SHOULD England get through & get based down that way.

We won't of course be going for the footie - just the beer

I agree with your agreement.

I agree with your agreement of the earlier agreement. I am fed up with the England football team. Sky Sports are creaming their pants that Montenegro only drew this evening as well. If we cannot win this group without having to rely on other teams doing us a favour in other matches, that says it all really.... still not up to it, and still the same complaints about to many games, players are tired ********!!

at least lampard got subbed for no other reason than being shyt for england...

it is time to move on gerrard, lampard and build the team around wilshere, parker, hart, adam johnson and hate to say it, rooney...

also, just bored of the press and how they micro analyse everything..cant they just accept that as a national team we are not that brilliant..???

why do we have to hire a £6m per year manager...no other nation does that..why do we..why do we need a manager like capello..again, no other nation does it..

again, why do we have to make such a fuss about the captains armband like it is life or death...why do we keep going on about how rio is not captain any more....yet not mention at all the fergy took off him at man u....

just bored of the whole atmosphere around the national team.....bored of the player pull outs..bored of the over hyping and then sheer destroying of the players..bored of the press.........saying that, of course I will watch the big competitions but wont care as much as i have in the past

Joe Hart having a mare.

But Fat Frank gets one back from the spot.

Just

Joe Hart didn't have a bad game at all. First goal he (and probably everybody else) expected Rio or the attacker to head the ball any which way. Second goal was 100% Milner's fault. He is supposed to stand in the wall to block off an area of the goal from the taker, and make it easier to save for the 'keeper. You do NOT move 4 foot to the left before it's kicked so that the 'keeper is caught short. Hart will be England's number 1 for many years to come, and rightly so. Milner is not good enough for the shirt.

Can anyone explain to me why this business of moving in the wall continuous to happen throughout the professional game. The keeper takes an age precisely lining up every angle to cover one side of the goal, and then some complete 'ponce' who earns 10's of thousands a week jumps out the way cause the balls going to hit him! Isnt that the point of the wall?................................... Besides that, on that money you would have thought he could take one in the knackers for the team would you not?

I was dismayed at how we managed to be so bad during the 2006 WC in Germany (going only with Owen up-front and picking Walcott but never using him was absolute bonkers), but the outrage I felt at Portugal's stitch-up of Rooney prevented a complete parting-of-the-ways between me and England.

Then came Mclaren. That finished me off from being an active England supporter. Wil never forget the umbrella and coffee cup against Croatia.

Then came Capello and his obsession with sticking his tongue up Lampard's arse, and one of the worse midfield arses to put on the Three Lions to boot. Last years embarassing absolutely p*ss-poor showing against Japan in Graz in the build up to SA (stomached LIVE for the sake of my two eldest kids) and then the further completel embarassment against Germany in SA made me an active England hater.

F**k Capello

F**k Rooney

F**k Lampard

F**k dodgy goalies

F**k ENGLAND

I totally agree with your sentiment TBH.

I think it goes even deeper than that. I think the FA manage the team more than the manager does. I think the team selections are done by the FA to generate shirt sales, the squad exploited as a brand and then the 'manager' has to work with what is forced opon him. All the England manager's job seems to be is "do what your told and keep saying yes". For £5 million quid a year I'm not surprised 'arry wants the job

Spot on mate, Capello spoke a good game of ringing in the changes in the England camp and went on to do completely f*ck all about it.

I couldn't care less about England any more, the Euro's should have been about blooding and testing a newer younger bunch of lions, instead we continue to parade the same old underperformers in order to swell the coffers of an already too fat and interfering FA piggy.

We are awful, the sooner people realise that the better. We can no longer be expected to beat the top teams, we have very much fallen into the second tier. I'll still be in Bulgaria come September though, for whatever silly reason.
