saintquin Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 I was wandering if any one had been to north Mauritus at the end of June, as I'm going there in 2 weeks time and was looking for any information about it. Cheers.
Deppo Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 Sorry, I've only ever been at the beginning of July or in the middle of August.
HK_Phoey Posted 4 June, 2011 Posted 4 June, 2011 We have been in June, seem to remember the weather was nice, occaissional rain showers that would last for an ahour or so in the afternoon but genrerally pretty good weather. At certain times of the year it can make a difference which side of the island you are staying. We have stayed at both La Pirogue and Le Touessrok which are on opposite sides of the island. Le Touessrok being by far the best hotel on the island from what I have seen is on the East Coast. Port Loius is the main town which is on West Coast, lots of nice bars and restaurants particularly in the old waterfront area but they do tend to shut down quite early of an evening. We always have a great time there, if you looking for some where nice quiet and relaxing you will love it.
sadoldgit Posted 4 June, 2011 Posted 4 June, 2011 I went for 10 days and it rained every day. Mind you that was in August. We stayed on the west of the island but friends who stayed in the north had glorious sunshine every day.
Patrick Bateman Posted 4 June, 2011 Posted 4 June, 2011 I went mid-end June. Weather was nice - about 24/25/26 C, only 1 day of rain out of 8. Just the evenings got coldish, so take some long sleeves if you're eating outdoors.
