Christ. She is hideous.

If this is the kind of decision making he is taking these days, what is he going to be like on the pitch? Lambert will be clean through and onside and he'll elect to play it back to the keeper.

Well I dont think he is hardcore enough for us anyway in terms of night life.

BWP and Dyer set the tone by stealing handbags and phones, Barnard continues the legacy by glassing someone - I can't see him fitting in if he just goes out for a drink in a nice pair of short with a munter from Essex.

Might help us that he knows Lallana and Schneiderlin and would be playing in midfield with them. Hope he doesn't just think we're a bankrupt club relying on kids still!

Suppose he knows Kelvin too...and...that's literally it isn't it. Our 3 longest serving players!

And Forecast ;)

She looks like a rubber doll in that first picture. What a moose.

I like the piece in the article where they refer to the fact that she has "blisters" on her lip. You mean, a cold sore i.e. Herpes. Say no more.

They didnt specify which lips.

This would be a win-win signing in the sense that he would be good for us and the club is perfectly poised for him to make a lasting mark on a club about to explode onto the big time. Not to mention the s****y new training facilities that equal Chelski's that he will be able to make use of.

A midfield of:

Lallana, Morgan, Cork, OXO

would be fantastic if we could keep it together for next year. Some might say a bit too lightweight and likely to be muscled out of it by Championship sluggers, but I'm not sure I would agree. Morgan is substantially tougher these days and Cork has matured as well.

Unfortunately, the Cork rumour is unlikely to true, as generally we never find out these days who we are signing!

Would be a real foundation for the future. With experience up front and in defence you could probably afford this type of Midfield. That being said those guys are young but apart from oxo you wouldn't call them inexperienced.

boring fact of the day - Lallana has twice as many saints appearances in midfield as Alan Ball had.

Error of the day you mean !

Dont forget Bally had two spells playing for us.....me thinks you are only looking at the second :-)

Wonder where Cork would play for us - if he slots into midfield (recall he's played CB and RB for us), his preferred position is as a holding CM. You wonder who out of him and Schneiderlin would get forward and make runs into the box. Cork is certainly more mobile than Hammond but you wonder if he could be a box-to-box player on a sustained basis. Or maybe it wouldn't be necessary with attacking midfielders like AL, Oxo as well as our strikers around him.

if this story is true i wonder if blackpool would rather sign puncheon from us or fight ufor cork and lose out on any possible deal for his highness.

if cork were to sign he would be great start to the window and show imo real intent to build a strong squad.

I fear he will go to Swansea.

Brendan Rogers is the guy he looks up to having been bought through the Chelsea ranks by him.

Pity.....unless they are looking further afield.

Good point. Hadn't considered the Brendan Rogers link

Us, if anyone cares to look in rumours thread.

I've just spoken to Paul Clement who will be making an appearance at the NEC grassroots coaching show early June.

He confirmed Southampton have made an offer for JC but we aren't the only ones.

Would be a great signing.

The way RL drops back I can see us almost playing a 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 formation.

Will be about whether he wants a season of PL struggling or to actually get on the bus and ride a wave

I heard he was buying a house in Winchester as well.

Cannot be any free based on the number of other people buying in Winchester according to other threads on here, or is he having Michael Owens house

He's camping out in Martin O'Neil's garden. Michael comes round and they tell ghost stories with torches under their chins.

He's discussing personal terms this weekend.

After the information you shared about Rickie Lambert signing, I'm happy to take this at face value....... we have a definite shout of signing him!

Que?????

Bally must have made something around 200 appearances and only ever played in midfield.

Surely some mistake!!!!!!!!!!1

if he is, it maybe with more than one club (silly if it isn't)

He is in Southampton for Under 21's match.

If he is discussing personal terms with anyone this weekend it would seem to be us.

Obviously travelling on club or player's part can happen.

Would have thought we have a decent chance of pulling this one off.

I know he enjoyed his time down here (even though he was a part of the Total Football debacle) and given his London connections, a short trip down the M3 must be tempting!!!!

That said, like most things nowadays I imagine it might come down to ££££££'s.

However, as someone else has mentioned, I'm not overly sure I'd play him alongside Schneiderlin in the middle of the park (just that I would prefer an older "clogger" in there with him!!!).

Would be a fantastic signing. Was our best player when I saw Crystal Palace beat us 3-0 in our relegation season at Selhurst Park.

But if it's in the papers, it won't happen...

Would be a great statement of intent. Links with Nige, played for the club before, played with most of our midfield before.... it all sounds slightly too perfect...

We never hear about transfers, so unless somebody is leaking information from either camp I would suggest that it's fabricated.

Well it was bought in the first place by Martin O'Neil, he then duped Owen into buying it before he signed and now Jack Cork has it lined up.

When will these footballers and managers stop buying houses before they have actually signed? Will they never learn?

TBF we heard about Fonte's transfer a good week or so before it went through, it was plastered all over the local Palace newspaper website. As you go up the league's it's almost impossible to keep a transfer completely silent, there will always be leaks.

I like the sound of this and it makes sense given the way Adkins has got our front four playing (Lallana, Guly/Barnard, Lambert & Chamberlain) with a lot more movement and inter changing positions. With that attack and Cork & Morgan playing the holding roles, 4-2-3-1 can easily become 4-2-4 when in possession and it would not make us more defensive as both Cork & Morgan have an excellent passing range and the skill to carry the ball forwards. This formation also creates more space for the full backs to overlap - which is why I think we need a pacy right back.

I would like to see us at least start the season with an intent to attack and impose our game, we can always adapt if this doesn't create the results.

Lets hope that Cork buys into the Cortese vision and buys a one-way ticket aboard the Premier League express!
