damn. was sure he was coming our way.

he still is, it's so he can come here on loan with Man United paying half his wages enabling them to sign Chamberlain.

It's a brilliant tactic by our wonder chairman. It's so we can have him for a season on loan to make sure he is good enough for us, if not we can send him back.

Lost a lot of respect for him. Complete waste of career. He had many good years ahead of him and chose to spend them sat on the bench at Man Utd. If he thinks he didn't play much this season, it'll get a lot worse with their new signings for next season.

Can't believe how much he celebrated winning the league. He simply didn't. What did he win, fan of the year? Well done Michael you went to every game.

I think he's solely banking on scoring some important goals in major competitions if he gets a few minutes here and there. He could still be a regular scorer elsewhere.

Moron.

I have a great deal of respect for him for maximising his career earnings since he hasn't actually been both fit enough and good enough to play for any of the teams he's been with for about the last ten years.

my thoughts exactly. He's said he'd rather sit on the bench at a massive club then go and actually do some work at a lesser one. No respect for the guy, he should get back into gambling to fill his time!

In response to the above post, he's been on mega money since he was a teenage, he doesnt still need that kind of money, and has alot of property anyway which would be a tidy earner.

Agreed. He should've left the biggest club in the world and taken a massive pay-cut so he could join a smallish team in the league below.

OWEN OUT!

Really chuffed that somebody saw fit to put this on the main board where all and sundry can clock it as opposed to leaving hidden amongst a thread that most won't be assed to wade through. Neat, real neat.

I'm actually embarassed that we've got this thread on here. Please can we delete it before other fans find it and take the p*ss.

Me too. This move was never, ever going to happen and it makes us look ridiculous having this thread on the main board.

Martin O'Neil is the only one laughing now. He has managed to push that house in Winchester on to Owen. Micheal Owen will never get his deposit back now. His only hope is to flog it on to Jack Cork before he signs.

I am surprised that Man United are keeping him on for another year. Things must be worse up there than anyone thinks.

Looks like things up there are great from my viewpoint. He's probably the best 4th choice striker in the Prem.

The early rumours were that we were going to sign him on loan, obviously this is going to happen now.

Owen the Saints!
