****ed as a fart at ' milbrooks got talent "

Some of his jokes;

Milbrooks not the problem, it's thornhill.

You know your in thornhil because no one has dental records

Everyone has the same DNA.

If the Brits had got bin laden he would of got 100 hours community service and council house in thornhill.

Being a saints fan does not stop someone being a spanner. That is just as idiotic.

If Hitler was a saints fan would that make him ok ?

You only have to look at this forum to know that.

Maybe some of you lot should get up on stage and tell jokes...

By that rationale, are only highly rated comedians allowed to pass criticism on other lesser rated comedians?

You don't have to be a comedian to know what is funny. Mike Osman is not funny, and he never has been.

Mike Osman is a decent person. I know him well. He gives up an enormous amount of his time to help people raise money for all sorts of charitable causes. Although he can demand large fees for performances he gives his time willingly without charge. He is a man I have a lot of time for.

Mike is a good fella,I went to school with his brother Paul.

Whatever some of you think of him you have to remember that he is a dedicated saints fan and does a lot of good charity work...so what if he's had a few drinks and told a few jokes,I'm guessing everyone of you has done the same thing

In my opinion, he's a funny guy who does his bit for charity and who is also a fervent Saints fan. I don't get why so many people try and knock him all the time. Can somebody enlighten me, or is it just jealousy that someone from Millbrook can actually make a decent living for themselves (and no, I'm not from Millbrook).

He is reasonably funny. He is "half famous" in these parts.......... which makes people jealous.

In my opinion- he does TOO MUCH for charity. I have seen him enough times doing stuff for free, purely because he is sorting out good mates or doing it for a good cause. Also, he may have been a bit over excited, but f**k me did he get the crowd going alot more than c**ting Stewart mongtard Dennis.

Really ? So when we were in a financial crisis he was doing the half time "entertainment " for free was he ?

Im from Thornhill and have plenty of friends from Millbrook, both estates seem to be full of good hard working people, salt of the earth in fact!

You are MUCH more likely to make friends nad have a good time in The Saints or Hinkler pubs than any pub in Chilworth.

DID like Mr Osman until his crass anti Thornhill jokes, I wouldnt have thought he'd be welcome in Thornhill now - prat.

Mike Osman does a lot for the forces, he came down the Falklands in 95 and with Jim Davidson. they both visited all the remote sites and even flew out to one of the patrol ships and done a stand up show on the flight deck. But it easy to knock people.

I suspect all those knocking MO are below 35-40 who have as their barometer of comedy a pair of goons who barf at the mention of a black fella and ride around dressed as laydeeees. (Please note the mention of goons does not mark me out as an OAP though the last time I belly laughed was when Fletch had bad feet.....and that was a re run of a re run of a .......).

Don't know the guy, never met him, never seen him but sounds like an all round decent guy, even if he is from the western half of the city ;-)

Knowing Mike as I do. I know he has relatives and close freinds that live in Millbrook and anything said about Thornhill would have been all in Jest and not meant with any malice.People are intitled to their opions about wether Mike is funny or not but the bottom line is he has made a very good living out of his chosen career and donr may TV and Radio shows in his 30 plus years as being a proffesional entertainer.

Lets put to bed the sniping comments about when Mike did the warm up for the crowd at St Marys once and for all. Mike is a well sort after After Dinner Speaker and he is on the Corprate rung of that ladder,in fact prety much one of the best at that field in the country and so when he was doing the pre-match entertainment at St Marys he could never work on a Saturday night because he was at St Marys thus stopping him earning a good wage doing after dinner speaking o a Saturday night. Now Manji tell me why you think Mike should have been th only perso that worked at St Marys for free. Did the players get paid, did the stewards get paid, did the catering staff get paid, did the police get paid, did the staff at the club get paid. Now once and for all leave this alone, you are like an old record and your past comments about this subject have been noted.

By all means feel free to have a dig at him if you feel he has no talent and he was just a very lucky boy to have come from a large family a Rory Delap throw from the Saints pub,and be lucky enough in his career to work alongside some of the great entertainers this country has produced,oh and also not bad for that Millbrook boy to have been good enough to have performed in front of and indeed made freinds with some of our Royalty so he must have been doing something right. Please if you have never met Mike then do yourself a favour nexxt time you see him,go up to him and speak to him and if he comes over as an aahole then ok you can have your rant on here but I think you will leave him thinking what a top guy and oh so massive Saints fan he is. COYRS

I'm sure he was contributing as much of his "wages" as you were. just because he did it at St Mary's doesn't make him a bad person. I suppose you think everyone who charged for their services at St MAry's should have given it for free too! My brother earns a pittance and used to deliver the beer to St Mary's. Should he have given up his wages too? Moron.

Err, i think the argument is not that he should have worked for free, just that we didn't need his 'work' at all, especially as he was apparently turning down all this lucrative work elsewhere to provide absolutely essential half time 'entertainment'. He milked saints for all he could get.

How did the team get on this season without the help of mike flaming osman?

Does this mean Stewart Dennis gets paid then ?

I believe in the season of destruction when Lowe came back and we went into administration Mr Dennis was "performing" like he does now.......and he gets paid for reading out the team sheet with his voice cracking and breaking when he tries to put some feeling and emotion into it ? Geez.

Stewart Dennis or Mike Osman ?

Get your coat Stewie :-)

It makes you wonder what his fiercest critics did during the financial crisis then? Should the stewards work for free? The shop workers? Hell, why not the players too?

There seems to be far too much Osman bashing on here, mostly from people who sit back, do nothing when the club's in trouble and then ask "Why's no one doing anything?"

Decent guy, good saints fan, charity work etc, not debating it, good for him.

Just don't think he's at all funny. He makes money from it, fair enough, but that doesn't make him funny. It just means there's a lot of people out there with a bad sense of humour, laughing at tired old cliched jokes. But you only have to turn on bbc1 to learn that, and the idiots writing and commissioning that rubbish earn far more than mike.

Clearly he is funny because he makes a living out of it. Your humour is probably a little more Little Britain.

I don't find MO funny in the slightest but humour is subjective. What I find more distasteful is the overt snobbery and labelling of an entire population of an estate in our city.

Stop being so politically correct. People have been taking **** out of each since man was invented.

Of course he is. Just like you compared Cortese and the club to the Nazis a few months back...

ffs...

Erm.. No I didn't...

I used the old analogy of "First they came for the communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me." when people on here started slagging off posters who were critical of some of the things Cortese had done. There was far too much of the "Well it doesn't affect me so why should I care?" about some of the posters on here at that time..

You'll find it was Alpine who ran off squealing that I'd compared Cortese to Hitler.

For Smirking Saint to say "If Hitler was a saints fan would that make him ok " is just farcical...

What a bedwetter.

Equating that because he does quite a bit of work for local and national charities for free, then he should have offered us the same deal. Behave yourself (and if you're still frothing at the mouth, go have a pop at Stewart Dennis and the new bald headed guy doing pitchside stuff).
