DG Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 I usually give this one a miss but you can't take your eyes off it this year!
DG Posted 29 May, 2011 Author Posted 29 May, 2011 Drive through for Lewis, what a crap weekend he has had, stupid overtake attempt though.
Saint_Jonny Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 Lewis had a part in the safety car that has fooked up JB's race. Meh.
DG Posted 29 May, 2011 Author Posted 29 May, 2011 This will be an epic last ten laps, can't believe Vettel will hold on with those tyres.
DG Posted 29 May, 2011 Author Posted 29 May, 2011 Anyone but Vettel ffs. Come on Alonso take him or take him out.
Thedelldays Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 anyone else finding the whole F1 thing a complete bore these days..?
DG Posted 29 May, 2011 Author Posted 29 May, 2011 anyone else finding the whole F1 thing a complete bore these days..? Even with Red Bull/Vettel winning everything there's been a lot more overtaking this season, best one in a while so far.
Thedelldays Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 Even with Red Bull/Vettel winning everything there's been a lot more overtaking this season, best one in a while so far. even so...just a super rich play thing this sport with boring politics
saint lard Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 Seeing it live is so much better than watching it on the tellybox.I don't think it transmits to TV that well in comparison to being there. Only been to a couple but Silverstone in 96 was fantastic, the whole weekend experience was great.Watched it from Club corner which was a great vantage point. If i ever have the cash, going to Monaco for the grand prix is something i would love to do.
Lighthouse Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 Such a shame, that would have been a great end to the race. I would even have taken Alonso winning if it stopped Vettel.
JackFrost Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 anyone else finding the whole F1 thing a complete bore these days..? With Hamilton driving cars into the wall/off the track every few minutes it's never boring
Jimmy_D Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 I was so looking forward to seeing how the tryes played out at the end there... Ruined by the safety car, that said, I hope Petrov is ok.
saint_jas Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 Will say that was the best race of the year for incident. Loving Hamilton's interview at the moment. Think McClaren messed up with Jenson's tyres, should have gone onto soft.
DG Posted 29 May, 2011 Author Posted 29 May, 2011 Loving Hamilton's interview at the moment. It was brilliant
JackFrost Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 It was brilliant What happened? Was it a load of smugness accompanied by delusion of Cotterill standards about how everyone kept driving into the front of his car? Or was it interrupted by Massa and/or Maldonado halfway through?
saint_jas Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 What happened? Was it a load of smugness accompanied by delusion of Cotterill standards about how everyone kept driving into the front of his car? Or was it interrupted by Massa and/or Maldonado halfway through? Pretty much spot on, Lewis was not at fault in his eyes.
DG Posted 29 May, 2011 Author Posted 29 May, 2011 He basically called the stewards and other drivers "a friggin joke" then jokingly said (after being ask why do you think you are being targeted) its because i'm black.
Jimmy_D Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 What happened? Was it a load of smugness accompanied by delusion of Cotterill standards about how everyone kept driving into the front of his car? Or was it interrupted by Massa and/or Maldonado halfway through? It was a PR nightmare basically. Pointed out that he'd been called up to the stewards 5 out of 6 races, said that it was a joke, and even jokingly suggested that it was because he's black that it happens so often.
JackFrost Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 He basically called the stewards and other drivers "a friggin joke" then jokingly said (after being ask why do you think you are being targeted) its because i'm black. Oh the irony
JackFrost Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 Just watched it on the BBC website. He's basically saying he thinks it's a joke that other drivers try to defend their positions and stop him from overtaking. Who the hell does he think he is?
