iansouthstander Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 Tottenham are holding a roadshow in Winchester on june 2nd and 3rd for kids aged 5 to 15.They are bringing coaches down to help youngsters improve their skills and fitness and scouts will be there to assess future talent. I thought we had pretty much sewn up all the local talent. But my point is , Should the North London Yobbos be encroaching on what is clearly our territory ?
Deppo Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 I think we should all go down there with pitchforks and drive them out of town.
Colinjb Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 That's more then a little cheeky. But they arn't really doing anything wrong.
Elias Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 I think a few choice Hampshire words could be in order for them. Arrogant ****s.
Elias Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 I think we should all go down there with pitchforks and drive them out of town. Got to be burning torches and a few shotguns too.
Tac-tics Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 Chelsea also operate down here. Were in around 40 schools and have an ETC centre in Southampton.
Hatch Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 Maybe they will just be visiting 'Arry when is in Winchester nick in a few months.
Huffton Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 Most big clubs have sattelite academies. Where do you think we found the likes of Shearer, Madison etc
tpbury Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 Coming from Winchester myself, I was physically sick when my other half told me she'd met a Wintonian here in Australia who supported Protsoumth. Rather Spurs than them!

Rather Spurs than them! Similar story, I was in Winch visiting my Mum when the Skates where playing Spurs in the FA Cup semi final last year. Thought I'd pop up a pub called The Exchange as it would have a bit of atmosphere but would all be cheering for Spurs. How wrong I was. Full of skates, singing anti Southampton songs. Literally made my blood boil that no-one seemed to care.
1976_Child Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 feking cheeky norf larrrnderners. Deppo has it right. We should mobilize and drive them back to London. If we give them an inch, they'll take a mile and soon be recruiting for their wood-pecker army at the gates of St Mary's. Sod off yer knob heads

Tac-tics Posted 28 May, 2011 Posted 28 May, 2011 I can assure you all, Southampton is still the dominant academy/development set up down here.
david in sweden Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 I think a few choice Hampshire words could be in order for them. Arrogant ****s. don't you mean North London yobbos...(one of RL's better quotes)
sfc4prem Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 I've been shouted down by skates driving in vans whilst wandering around Winch in my Saints shirt. I was more than a tad confused until I saw the Pompey scarf in the back window. I suppose that's what happens when teams haven't been in the Prem for a while. Our old territory is less so than in say 2003.

Never seen an adult wearing a Skates shirt in Winchester. Seen a couple of kids wearing blue rags, felt like reporting the lowlife parents to Social Services.
St_Tel49 Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 I think we should all go down there with pitchforks and drive them out of town. Oh Aarrr!
John McGrath's Jockstrap Posted 29 May, 2011 Posted 29 May, 2011 Got to be burning torches and a few shotguns too. Tearing up the bedsheets as I speak.....
