ANTS! The little bastards are invading my kitchen and shops are closed to get poison. Theyve got in my dishwasher and generally being a menace!

So far I've cleaned all surfaces, put boiling water over the area they are coming in, and also put talcum powder down (website said that was a good idea).

Any one else got any good tips?

Try putting it through a cycle I'm pretty sure the ants won't like it

Petrol. It works well with bee/wasps nests. I had a nest in the ground last year and poured petrol down and that soon got rid of them. Don't light the petrol, the vapours is what kills them.

Bloody hell....at that price? Why didn't you just throw a gold ingot at them?

Anyone travelling to Spain buy some Baygon by Bayer, says it not only does Hormigas (ants) but Cockroaches too. This stuff is Thermonuclear Warfare in a can with the added faint aroma of bitter Almonds.

Someone said peppermint oil from the aroma therapy section of various stores in little bottles wiped around in the kitchen where ants are running keeps them away and is not so toxic.

Right, so the problem was an ant, or to be more precise some ants.

The solution: Boiling water, talcum powder, antstop, flamethrower, bleach, boric acid, petrol, drowning, raid, crushing and finally a bit of 'thermonuclear warfare in a can'....!!!!

I'd fukin' hate to see what some of you guys would do if you had a cockroach in the house, ffs...!!!

We would have to commence "operation human shield". It would be bloody.

I remember spraying a big Antiguan roach with Baygon as it ran up a wall trying to escape, bits of it appeared to be melting and falling off as it ran, but it carried on going!
