saintbag Posted 24 May, 2011 Posted 24 May, 2011 Weds night at 7.30, Hampshire senior cup final between Totton (who play in blue) and Sholing (who play in red and white stripes). Entry is £10 for adults and £5 for kids. Should be a good game between Southampton's other teams who finished first and second respectively in the Zamaretto league division one South and West. Its Sholing for me.
Junction 9 Posted 24 May, 2011 Posted 24 May, 2011 What's the segregagtion situation for the match? Who is getting the Chapel end?
CLOTH EARS Posted 25 May, 2011 Posted 25 May, 2011 Totton may play in blue BUT The Stags fans are ALL Saints fans. There is always a loud cheer when the H/T F/T Saints results are announced over the tannoy and they are winning or have won. Anyway, good try in trying to build up Sholings support tomorrow night though. Next year by the way Totton will not be wearing Royal blue they will be in white shirts and navy shorts as they are copying Saints in returning to their original colours for their 125th birthday season.
hamster Posted 25 May, 2011 Posted 25 May, 2011 Totton's not in Southampton though, surely. Aren't they a village green team, England's biggest village iirc?
saint.tom.clancy Posted 25 May, 2011 Posted 25 May, 2011 I’ll be there, hopefully be a good game. Gutted Sholing didn’t go up but hopefully we can give them one final beating before meeting again next year in the Zamaretto Prem.
Lets B Avenue Posted 25 May, 2011 Posted 25 May, 2011 Team Solent won the one that mattered last night. Retained the Southampton Senior Cup beating Queens Keep 2-1.
saintbag Posted 26 May, 2011 Author Posted 26 May, 2011 Hard luck Sholing, well done Totton, good game I thought. Not a bad crowd about 1400 I believe.
Prince Jazzbo Posted 26 May, 2011 Posted 26 May, 2011 I saw all the Totton fans being escorted back tot the station.
Huntingdon Posted 26 May, 2011 Posted 26 May, 2011 Totton has a population of around 40,000 these days, and appear to be well supported - I think I'm right in saying they took 15000 to Wembley a few years back With a fanbase like that, and their new stadium, they could easily join Eastleigh in Conference South
