dune Posted 24 May, 2011 Share Posted 24 May, 2011 (edited) Dune has a point, the liberal elitists both on here and generally do have a major superiority complex. You've only got to look at the way you all gang up to tag team him on here with all sorts of accusations ranging from ROFL and quite brilliant play on user name wit of the "June" jibes from BTF to the accusations of being a Nazi because he happens to agree with some of the EDL policies. No middle ground and acceptance that they can see his point from them, oh no. Ironic really when freedom of speech and acceptance of others is what they purport to believe in and what their superiority complex is based on. They call me a NAZI because I once asked the question - "would britain have been a better place today had we sided with Hitler?" I cited the Mau Mau concentration camps set up in Kenya post WW2 (after the outcry following the holocaust in Europe) and made the point that we were no better than the NAZI's, arguably we were worse given that we killed an estimated 1.5 million Kikuyu after denouncing what Hitler did. Don't get me wrong both acts of genocide were appalling, but they weren't that different. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the eliteist Liberals/superior Socialists don't have the tolerance or intellect to debate a valid point unless they make the point themselves so they instead call me names. dune Posted 24 May, 2011 Share Posted 24 May, 2011 I dont believe you, surely open debate and tolerance are they stand for. They are completly tolerant of their own opinions. That is how Socialism works. George Orwell 1984 perfectly illustrates the 13 darks years we have just suffered under Labour.

westofshannonsaint Posted 27 May, 2011 Share Posted 27 May, 2011 found this thread on a search through the forum & thought you would like to know that O'Bama's Irish heritage came out during the American election, so it's not really news... however what is not mentioned (very much) is that his Irish heritage stems from wealthy protestants - I would not be that surprised if he went back a few more generations and found English routes (but that would probably not be as politically advantageous)... still he likes a pint and is doing well for himself so we will claim him as one of our own... OVER THE HILL Posted 27 May, 2011 Share Posted 27 May, 2011 His mothers surname is Dunham which is very English so there is another connection to England. Although I am not a fan,I think he has more charisma than any of our politcians.
bridge too far Posted 27 May, 2011 Share Posted 27 May, 2011 His mothers surname is Dunham which is very English so there is another connection to England. Although I am not a fan,I think he has more charisma than any of our politcians. Couldn't agree more. And I was impressed with his speech to the Houses of Parliament the other day. Not so much the content (it was mostly rhetoric) but the delivery and the fact that, as far as I could see, he spoke without notes. Beats Call-me-Dave's 'grilling' joke into a cocked hat any time.
