Puncheon was just on talksport. Sounded like an absolute ****! Basically saying he was too good for saints and has proved Adkins wrong. Wants to play in the prem but obviously isn't going to happen with saints. The way he said it was like a dig. I hope a big prem club buys him then we'll see how good he really is! He wouldn't last 5 mins at a club like Newcastle or Everton, just get lost in the reserves. At the end of the day he wasn't even a regular starter for a poor Blackpool! ****!

I don't really care about him other than wanting a big a fee as possible and getting this deluded arrogant man as far away from my club as possible. Puncheon you are not on the bus so do **** off as quickly as possible!

Fine him two weeks wages.

Absolutely, bringing the club into disrepute.

And how exactly has he proved Adkins wrong? By joining a team mid-way up the Premiership and then getting relegated with them?

Posted

Just can't accept that a 17 year old kid is miles better than him. He's not proved anyone wrong... who's getting all the interest from the premier league big boys this summer?

Posted

The sooner we're rid of him - the better.

Always was of the opinion this season, when he played for us, he was almost deliberately trying to play bad. The amount of times he banjoed balls over the bar from 6 yards out was amazing - especially given the performances he put in for Millwall and Blackpool this year.

Hope you get what you want Punch!

Having watched him yesterday, he looked rubbish. I know he was up against Man U, but he still genuinely looked like one of their worse players. He cant get infront of Lallana or Chambo, so he and his over inflated ego can naff off.

Miles too good for us...! We got promoted, Blackpool got relegated - I think that means we find ourself in the same league - on par - evens - level. Let's see all those big clubs showing interest to sign him, then he can maybe start shouting his mouth off.

I have to disagree with a few on here as I certainly don't think he is rubbish (and a few managers have thought highly of him) and he has produced the goods (even if on occasions) in the the top two divisions.

However, he quite clearly has a p155 poor attitude and we should get rid, or let him train with Vospers.

You are right, but he doesn't seem to realise that while his attitude is like it is he will never reach his potential. He will show flashes of skill, consider that to be enough and then wonder why he's not loved when the inconsistency bites.

The type of personality he is it's no surprise that he must hate us. Someone of that ego getting boo'd!?! His blinkered brain simply wouldn't be able to process it rationally.

All the more reason to sell him ASAP and use the money more effectively.

Was he not the player walking around with his hands in his pockets with music on his headphones during Marcus's funeral? Terrible attitude but I alway thought he was a good league 1 player who will probably find his level in the Championship it he gets his head right maybe in a mid table premier team.

This. Clearly a good footballer but a massive pr1ck.

I think we should all put forward statements saying that it was Puncheon that bottled that guy instead of Lee. I'll pay the guy off to change his statement. Who's in?

Hopefully Pardew will take him to Newcastle they are meant to have money to spend from their Andy Carroll cash. I think Pardew was interested back in January too, lets hope he still is.

I dont think he has the wit to realise he has actually proved Adkins right. A bad apple like him could have stopped us getting promotion. Let us get as much as we can for him. I wish him no ill, but his bad karma will come back on him. He may be a decent player. The leagues are made up of decent players.Sadly for him what will allways let him down is his attitude.

Seemed devoid of ideas and confidence yesterday. Barely ran at the defence and his pass completion rate must have been appalling. The chap that replaced him caused United more problems in fifteen minutes than Puncheon had in the previous 75. I was actually disappointed that he hadn't done much when in the shop window.

Obviously has talent, unfortunately an even bigger ego and pretty flakey to go with it.

Am I right in saying that he was getting stick for bad performances at SMS before his fall out with Adkins? I seem to remember some fans saying this was the case. If so, it's hardly surprising he's giving us some stick.

He is clearly a decent player TBF, and I really didn't think he looked that poor yesterday.

I agree however, he is a complete and utter tool. Unfortunately his sort of attitude will go against him in the long run.

Had his hands in his pocket and a face like a smacked arse but he certainly wasnt wearing headphones and listening to music.

Should go like this

Fine 2weeks wages.

Call back early for training, If he fails to turn up fine another 2weeks wages

Make him train with the kids

Drag out his transfer till the last minute so it takes him a while to bed in at new club.

Just listened to it... didn't think he said anything too controversial other than hinting at he got a bit of stick when he played here - which was true?

Me either. Usual footballer stuff.

The irony for Jason is that Adkins was proved right. Saints got promoted and Blackpool got relegated.

Anyway Pucheon is history for Saints, his transfer will buy some talent that wants to play here.
