Dr Who? Posted 22 May, 2011 Posted 22 May, 2011 and Blackpool - if it is still around then. Does this mean in is going to be a yearly event. Still think it is the UK tourist board making it erupt!
dubai_phil Posted 22 May, 2011 Posted 22 May, 2011 It better be fecking gone away by 7th June.... I have some SERIOUS holidaying to do across Europe. (Oh & it is a different one LH but let's face it, they all look the same.)
dubai_phil Posted 22 May, 2011 Posted 22 May, 2011 Oh and look that Yankee Evangelist ALMOST got it right, now if this had gone off 24 hours before we'd have all been having a few wobbles!
pap Posted 22 May, 2011 Posted 22 May, 2011 Ah, b@ll@cks. I'm off to Ireland tomorrow. Flights and car hire deal. So even if I do end up getting the boat back, I still have to get the fecking car back to the airport.
Simples Posted 22 May, 2011 Posted 22 May, 2011 It shouldn't cause as much disruption as the one last year. The particles in this one are much larger (on a scientific level) so shouldn't be able to travel as far.
bridge too far Posted 22 May, 2011 Posted 22 May, 2011 It's only affecting local (to Iceland) flights, isn't it? I'm relieved it's not going to affect our car journey to Norfolk
InvictaSaint Posted 23 May, 2011 Posted 23 May, 2011 Am supposed to be flying to NYC for my 40th on Saturday. Had it booked for 18 months. Will not be a happy bunny if it gets ruined by this....
Baj Posted 23 May, 2011 Posted 23 May, 2011 Taken from my FB status... Approx 12 months ago my parents had a dream holiday to Aruba cancelled because of the volcanic ash cloud. They are currently in Cuba. They fly back Tuesday. BBC headline "A volcanic ash cloud from Iceland is expected to reach parts of the UK by the early hours of Tuesday morning"...... I think this whats referred to as "swings and roundabouts", hope their holiday is extended

I think this whats referred to as "swings and roundabouts", hope their holiday is extended Perhaps next year... "The weather is much more changeable and there's a lot more uncertainty. There's no risk of the ash moving across the UK in the next day or so. "But there is a possibility that we'll see some volcanic ash towards the end of the week." Met Office.
Lighthouse Posted 23 May, 2011 Author Posted 23 May, 2011 Could reach French airspace by Thursday according to the Mail. Not sure this really counts as an immigrant, but they're pretty unhappy about it. Stuff doesn't get much more awesome than volcano lightning

Lol And so Loganair cancel 36 flights, BA cancel all flights from London to Scotland and Paddy O'Bama flies outta his homeland a day early. no the Ash cloud won't reach UK. No there is no Hurricane coming. Good ole Met Office always count on them for a larf

bridge too far Posted 24 May, 2011 Posted 24 May, 2011 Norfolk in chance. Tish. Boom. I'm here all week. Make of that what you will. I allowed myself a slight smile.
scotty Posted 24 May, 2011 Posted 24 May, 2011 lol @ the jocks being stranded at the airport. +1, give them their f*cking independence referendum while theyre hanging around doing nothing.
ohwhenthesaints Posted 24 May, 2011 Posted 24 May, 2011 ****s sake. Meant to be flying to America on Saturday.
dubai_phil Posted 24 May, 2011 Posted 24 May, 2011 Old Fergie is damned clever. Send someone over to Iceland drop a handgrenade down a Volcano and mess up poor ole Barca's travel & training plans. Almost as if he knew he needed to unsettle them as much as .........
