just seen an advert asking me to part with money to adopt a wild cat in the rain forest...

got me thinking.....have any of you adopted anything for cash..?

I think I'd like to adopt an African baby. Or a Chinese one. I haven't decided yet. Which one is more likely to stay in fashion longer?

 

I gave my niece an adopt a penguin box for a birthday once. I've no idea what it entailed. I'll ask her.

We didn't get a thankyou letter.

I bough a Red Panda adoption from Paignton Zoo for my wife for a Valentine's Day present a few years ago. She was absolutely overjoyed, in all honesty.

I did 'give' my mother a donation to fund a school teacher in an African country for her birthday a few years ago (always a toughie towards the end of her days).

 

She was absolutely delighted and I wish I'd done something like that before.

I adopted an Orca for a few years and got updates when it returned to Nova Scotia every year

My other half is penguin mad and she's adopted many of them. There's one in the Sealife centre in Weymouth i'm being made to drive her to see in July, which I don't mind so much, as there's another in New Zealand, and I can't afford to go there.
