I think I would go with

But think Mills might be dropped for Skacel to go LB. Gillett, James and Surman in the middle with a front 3-ish of BWP, John and lallana.

Well give it at least 5 minutes into the game and then see.

We weren't great on Saturday so we're trying something new. Saturday we were ultra attacking, tonight we're a bit more conservative.

Plus Skacel is that not pleasing after all the whining and moaning (not on your part to be sure)?

Why should they be? We'll know one way or t'other.

They'll sink or they'll swim but the moaning and negativity concerning them will be at an end.

Ahem, it's more to do with the fact that it's taken some fckuking horrendous performances for the penny to drop and Jan to realise that 9 youngsters plus Davis and A N Other will not work in this division.

 

So why has Perry come back in, why is John now getting a start, how come DMG is not playing, why is Skacel finally getting a game etc etc etc????

 

Because IMHO Jan has finally cottoned on to what is needed in this league. That means I have little confidence in him.

Dont get me wrong as I think Mills is growing into the LB spot. James has struggled recently and could do with a break from things but its not his fault cause he should be in the midfield. Just thought that with our defensive problems and the need for a bit more experience he would have been dropped to make space for Skacel.

 

Line up actually looks better than it has for a while. Need John and Skacel to instantly perform though.

Glad to see John, Perry and Skacel in the side. Should give us a bit more experience up top and we might be able to get the balance right.

 

If we could get Euell and Schneiderlin in there somewhere then it's close to our best side imo. Maybe Holmes as well with Skacel going to LB.

So why has Perry come back in, why is Johnas returned from international duty now getting a start, how come DMG is not playing,as lost his easrly season form/promise/confidence and has been given chance to regain it but hasn't why is Skacel finally getting a gamebecause manager has dealt with difficult personality and got him back in the fold?;) etc etc etc????

John started against doncaster and got injured after 12 minutes, then he went to Trinidad and was late back. Why all the crap about him.

Just sods law, we have been crying out for them since the start of the season only for them to be a let down when they finally arrive. Not too far off what it was like waiting for Skacel to sign all those moons ago. I know the stats show he did pretty well for us but did he really live up to the expectation that was built?

Yes but we'll have to see how Schneiderlin,Euell and Gasmi get on in the reserves tomorrow.

If anyone has time on their hands I would recommend that they go down to

Staplewood tomorrow and look at Gasmi, he'll be rusty as hell but he is different, very different. I saw him a few years back playing for RCS in the Gambardella (youth cup) he is different.

When is this nightmare going to end?

 

We having been getting worse for the four years or so it must end sometime.

 

It is not Jan's fault the team is just not good enough

Rubbish.

 

I was more than happy to give him some time, and I will still give him some more time to prove himself one way or the other.

 

That's not to say that my first thoughts weren't pessimistic and that currently those doubts are starten to firm up with each passing game, but he still has time to turn it round.

 

You would have to be extremely optimistic to give Jan anything other than a must do better in a quarter season review.

 

Maybe recent performances has finally made him see sense that you need a balance of youth and experience in this division. Of course the problem with seeing this now is that a quarter of the season has gone and so has the ability to bring players in that would make this work.

No he's not a winger, he is a "meneur de jeu" a playmaker. He's all over the place here,there everywhere. He'll be rusty ,hasn't played since god knows when, won't play more than 45/50 minutes tomorrow.

Fair enough, similar to Lallana then?

 

Will be interesting to see how he plays when he's fully fit, hopefully he will have a decent understanding with Schneiderlin.

I guess they will line up like that, could be a 4-4-2 with BWP up top and Lallana on the right.

am not gonna watch/listen to the game........i am gonna try to put it to the back of my mind until at least 9.25ish tonight....

I think you should include Svensson in our best side.

 

Of course, don't think we should bank on him playing more than 10-15 more games this season though.
