Barney Trubble Posted 15 May, 2011 Share Posted 15 May, 2011 I have decided to move into the modern world and start updating my music collection. I have managed to find about 100 old cassettes and literally hundreds of vinyl albums that I want to update. I don't really want to buy more CD's as they take up a lot of space, I plan to download and place onto a large MP3/MP4 player, at least I have a back up then on my hard drive, if I later want to burn onto a CD too. I need to find out a good, cheap site, with a good catalogue of musical artists, both new and from the days of yore. I was told itunes is the best but thought i'd chance my luck with this question on here. Could I have some suggestions please?
Channon's Windmill Posted 15 May, 2011 Share Posted 15 May, 2011 iTunes probably is the best in terms of availability - pretty much everything you could possibly search for is available on there. But you can certainly get songs cheaper from other sites such as Amazon. I always check to see if what I want is on Amazon first because 99% of the time it will be significantly cheaper than iTunes. They have a great tool which automatically imports the song into iTunes etc. An example is the Beady Eye album which was £9.99 on iTunes - or £3.99 on Amazon!! No brainer. badgerx16 Posted 22 May, 2011 Share Posted 22 May, 2011 Youtube plus Vidtomp3.com, it rips the audio from the video. As long as you're careful in selecting videos with decent sound quality.
