Thedelldays Posted 15 May, 2011 Share Posted 15 May, 2011 I would have to say yes, f'sure not a technical as la liga etc...but for excitement, entertainment and last day survivals etc surely it has to be... I watch a lot of la liga on sky and in general, it is boring and full of dives also, man u in the CL final for the 3rd time in the last 4 years......... Um Bongo Posted 15 May, 2011 Share Posted 15 May, 2011 I don't think it can be argued with. The top 5/6 seem to be breaking away from everyone else however the 'lower' 14/15 teams seems to be getting closer to each other's ability. From Stoke in 8th, to West Ham in 20th, there is a gap of just 13 points. With Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Spurs you will never get just a two horse race like Barca/Real and the money.....well no other league will come close. saint_bert Posted 15 May, 2011 Share Posted 15 May, 2011 Next Sunday at the bottom of the league will be brilliant. Really can see WHU getting out of it now. Birmingham currently 2-0 down to Fulham at home. Really bad result for them. They go to Spurs who will want a win to confirm 5th place. My 3 to go down Wigan, Blackpool, Birmingham. skintsaint Posted 15 May, 2011 Share Posted 15 May, 2011 "At the very moment Connor Sammon equalised for Wigan to leave West Ham on the brink of relegation, that light aircraft arrived in the skies above The DW Stadium trailing the "Avram Grant: Millwall Legend" banner. Someone's gone to a lot of trouble there."

Sure the top teams are a match for any European opposition but I disagree that it is the best in the world. Most exciting - yes, best - no. I also don't think Stoke didn't do the reputation of the PL any good with their inept, route-one, yawnsville display. Looking at the teams in Serie A and La Liga who are not competing for Champions Leauge spots, they will be better than most of the equivilant teams in the Prem.
