alpine_saint Posted 15 May, 2011 Share Posted 15 May, 2011 Until he signs on the dotted line he'll be great. After that - carp. This. His next club falling-out is already in the post.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 Oh dear, it seems Holloway has spoke to soon. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/blackpool-boss-holloway-fears-losing-puncheon-bigger-club-1637401 The true JP will soon appear once Blackpool are relegated. "terrific lad" yeah right. He will soon throw his toys out of the pram and demand a move to another club where he thinks he will be bigger than the cub. S-Clarke Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 Served in one of my shops in London yesterday, said he hated it at Southampton. He said the same when he was at Plymouth as well, he's a typical journey man. I expect he'll say the same about blackpool once they're relegated as I'm sure he sees himself as some sort of footballing superstar.
Saints foreva Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 Hopefully he finds his way to a Premier League side as you just know he would score in both fixtures should he be signed by a Championship team.

Don't hold your breath - if they get relegated they won't be able to sign him permanently, and he's our player again in 5 days' time.
david in sweden Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 Just scored a great goal. Up's the fee i guess. Considering the outrageous fee they got for Carroll...I'd think Newcastle can afford £2 million..plus a sell-on clause, of course.

Saint Charlie Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 Lots of interest has to be good for us, and he still has a while on his contract. Got to be a fee of between 750k -1m IMO. He is only 24 as well.

He'd score lots of goals in scots prem i think! Hope we'd get at least £1.5m for him...although Holloway bigging him up so much could help us to get more!! Jimmy_D Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 Great news that the media is swarming around a move to several different clubs. We want rid, and this will only push the price up.
Matthew Le God Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 (edited) Why is it a surprise Rangers would want him? The Scottish Premier League is poor and Puncheon has shown he can do a reasonable job in the English Premier League (3 goals in 5 starts for a relegation threatened side). In any case, at the moment it just looks like agent talk as shown in that Sky article. Edited 17 May, 2011 by Matthew Le God
Nexstar Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 Excellent, lots more media interest in him now. Can't see Cortese letting him go for less than £1.5m if more clubs want him.
Matthew Le God Posted 17 May, 2011 Share Posted 17 May, 2011 He hated Southampton? Well, that might be a concern if it wasn't for the rest of the squad who all seem really happy. So what did he hate? The bigger stadium, larger crowds, better facilities? He hated playing second fiddle to an extremely talented 17 year old.

richardc Posted 19 May, 2011 Share Posted 19 May, 2011 this bodes well for taking the rest of the team through to the premiership reasonable intact - if he is a sort after premiership player then that means a lot of squad are already very good premiership quality

Matthew Le God Posted 19 May, 2011 Share Posted 19 May, 2011 Well if you didn't know what Puncheon looked like or what Blackpool's kit was, then that number is a vital piece of information when a photo shows two players.

London Saint Posted 19 May, 2011 Share Posted 19 May, 2011 Please god let this be true - £2.5m would be dreamland money for Puncheon! That would defo fund the signing of CMS from PBoro, and maybe leave some change for a top class CB!
