Viking Warrior Posted 13 May, 2011 Share Posted 13 May, 2011 An Orkney man convicted of rape has been awarded £500 in damages for a breach of his human rights over prison toilet conditions. Robert Stanger, 42, was one of two sex offenders to be awarded the amount, after having to queue to empty chemical toilets in Peterhead Prison, before changes in the system were brought in. Stanger, a Stromness fisherman, was jailed for eight years following a double rape conviction in 2005. He raised the action for judicial review at the Court of Session in Edinburgh. Stanger, along with two other rapists were selected as “illustrative cases” for outstanding slopping out claims, brought by inmates. He has been done again recently for assualt , some arseholes never learn

Chez Posted 13 May, 2011 Share Posted 13 May, 2011 the sooner the law changes so that realistic damages, paid for out of the pocket of the crooks, are awarded to victims the better. That way ****s like this fella will owe a million quid to the victim whether or not they have the finds to pay when they are found guilty and then should they win the lottery in the future, or be awarded bull**** damages like this, they will just be forced to hand it straight over to the victim.
