Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 Was I the only one to think 90's boyband five had passed away? In a serious note, my heart goes out to the family and friends of the people who have passed away.

Master Bates Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 MB did you make that joke uninterntionally? Edit: I got confused with who said what! It was intentional yes. bristolsaint29 Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 Actually I did, had an argument with him about 6 months ago as he crashed a lorry and I sacked him, was only speaking to the bloke he killed yesterday morning as I take staff of them. Bit bloody scary and a bit too close to home!!!!!
Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 21 October, 2008 Author Posted 21 October, 2008 Yeah, very close to home, especially since you fied him! Why did he kill them?
Hatch Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 FWIW, this M6 crash is horrific. It seems a whole family of 6 has been killed now. Sad, very sad.
bristolsaint29 Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 Apparently a grudge with his former employee!!! He also hit another bloke with a spanner and set fire to the offices.
saint boggy Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 http://news.aol.co.uk/family-of-six-killed-in-m/article/20081021014758111746179 jesus h christ, that is just AWFUL!!! and , reading between the lines, it looks as tho they can't even find the baby's body!!............:smt009
bridge too far Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 Police said the crash appeared to have happened in heavy, slow traffic caused by an accident two hours earlier on the same stretch of motorway. Mr Myers, a former Widnes and Great Britain Rugby League player, was killed in the earlier accident between Junction 17 at Sandbach and Junction 18 for Holmes Chapel What a dreadful, awful night

Mr Myers, a former Widnes and Great Britain Rugby League player, was killed in the earlier accident between Junction 17 at Sandbach and Junction 18 for Holmes Chapel What a dreadful, awful night Gotta be looked at, how there can be two fatal accidents in the same strecth within 24 hours of each other!
Hatch Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 Gotta be looked at, how there can be two fatal accidents in the same strecth within 24 hours of each other! Seeing as lorry driver has been arrested I would hazard a guess that he has ploughed into the back of slow moving traffic. Not paying attention, on phone, ****ed, tired, who knows...
Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 21 October, 2008 Author Posted 21 October, 2008 Seeing as lorry driver has been arrested I would hazard a guess that he has ploughed into the back of slow moving traffic. Not paying attention, on phone, ****ed, tired, who knows... That was one of the accidents, however there was another one. My point was is there a link or is it just plain bad luck coincidence that there were two fatalities on the same stretch of motorway within 24 hours?
JohnnyFartPants Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 That was one of the accidents, however there was another one. My point was is there a link or is it just plain bad luck coincidence that there were two fatalities on the same stretch of motorway within 24 hours? That stretch of motorway is very bad. There are always crashes there, though not all fatalities. It is awful. I get on there to pick my kids up and the amount of times there are crashes is madness. I just don't get it as it's not anything tricky to negotiate.

Master Bates Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 My best mates dad was killed by a skate lorry driver, the skate was on his mobile suddenly slowed down and my mates dad went up the back of his lorry.

Listening to the traffic reports on the radio every morning, it seems to me that there are certain parts of some motorways that are often closed because of accidents. The M40 around Bicester regularly (almost daily it seems) has problems and there are loads more. I wonder if accident investigators ever ask themselves 'why?'
JohnnyFartPants Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 My best mates dad was killed by a skate lorry driver, the skate was on his mobile suddenly slowed down and my mates dad went up the back of his lorry. Harsh to say it, but they are both at fault. The lorry driver should not have been on his phone and that probably meant he read something wrong on the road. However, he could equally have had to react suddenly to a problem when not on a phone and any following vehicles should be able to pull up if he does.
Ponty Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 My best mates dad was killed by a skate lorry driver, the skate was on his mobile suddenly slowed down and my mates dad went up the back of his lorry. Will all due respect MB, there's no lorry on the planet that will pull up faster than a car so your mate's dad must've also been distracted. Sad way to go though.
Poshie72 Posted 21 October, 2008 Posted 21 October, 2008 Awful awful tragedy. Cant begin to imagine what the relatives of the family are going through. I have a recurring nightmare, where I am driving down the A303, involved in an accident and car bursts into flames. I get out, but although I dont see them in my dream, I know my 3 boys are still in the car. It is so vivid that I know exactly where the accident happens and I do everything I can to avoid driving on that stretch. The Driving on the M4 everyday, I see so many idiots taking chances all because of the rush to get to work. Then there are the foriegn lorry drivers, not sure why, may be because they are left hand drive, but they always seem to be hugging the right side of the lane almost travelling into the next lane.
