I hope that I never have to see a team from the Third World in the Premier League but going by possible away days next season for us I hope Swansea make it because that is an awful trip.

Shouldn't be held there anyway, what d!ck decided to hold England test matches in Wales? It's a disgrace that a foreign country gets to host a test match ahead of the Rose Bowl.

Nothing to do with it being the England & Wales Cricket Board then?

My thoughts exactly. Cardiff is much easier for me to get to than Swansea.

Rose Bowl is hosting one too.

What difference does it make who organises it, the team is England, not England and Wales.

actually...it is england and wales...in cricket you represent the cricket board..hence the "England and wales cricket board"

epic fail

Completely agree. Went to the last game at Swansea and it was terrible. Never seen so many police at one game. Also would like Cardiff to not go up as I think it would be hilarious after they have spent so much and even got Bellamy on loan.

Really hope Davies stays at Forest manager next season. That is a game I would love us to win!

How many so-called England players were actually born in England. The last time I checked there, I think there were just seven.

Cook, Bell, Collingwood, (a Geordie- does that count ?), Swann, Anderson, Tremlett and Shahzad, (a fine Yorkshire name).

Weird, given that there's a motorway and a mainline train station between Cardiff and Swansea and the travel time is well under an hour with nothing of note in between them.

I lived in Newport for 30 years and whilst I've been to Cardiff hundreds more times than Swansea because it was the nearest (other) City, but if you're coming from England in terms of travelling you barely even notice the extra bit past Cardiff. I played semi-pro for a team near Swansea commuting from Newport, not something you'd do if it was much of a distance.

I do however readily agree that the "off the train, into a cage, onto a bus, up a private gated road alongside the train track to another cage, into the away end" approach of South Wales Police in Swansea last time left a lot to be desired. Also the Liberty's location isn't a patch on that of the Vetch, right near town and across the road from the beach.

I don't care if Swansea go up, I just don't want Cardiff to - mostly because I hate them, but also because I haven't been to the new ground yet.

And yes, it is the England and Wales Cricket Board. Went to the pub (Y Mochyn Du) next to the Test Match venue at Sophia Gardens when I was at the Wales v England match t'other month, couldn't believe the development they'd done there since my first 20:20 there.

Want Reading and Bournemouth in the NPC because it means less distance to travel to two games and will add a bit of spice to an already potential spicy season!

Other then that i want either Cardiff or Swansea to go up. Can't be arsed with two trips to Wales!

From the PL i want Blackpool because it would just be great to beat them again. The fans will give Holloway some stick and will just be funny to see it get to him again!

For the last spot i'd love it if Birmingham went down. Them playing in Europe and in the NPC means loads of games for them which would knacker their old squad. Which you would think would mean they have little chance of going straight back up.

This. And if we don't go up automatically, then beating Billy the Bastard in the playoffs would be most satisfying.

You are assuming I'm coming from the East and over the bridges and you'd be wrong.

As Swansea is futher away from my house than Cardiff then it is easier to get to Cardiff hence my point.

bompey/hudders in a mo...

not sure who I want to win

hudders will compete in the NPC and we have an horrendous record up there....and bompey would get smashed in the NPC..but hudders really deserve promotion

Agreed hudds do deserve promotion, but i'd rather 2 easier games so i'm routing for the cherries tonight!

Watching the game atm and after that goal I can see Hudds hold on and beat Bompey but there is still another hour to go or more if there is added time and hopefully although most of us fans can't stand Bompey that Bompey do score and pull something out the bag and take it to extra time at least as It'd be Good if Bompey do go up as there'l be quite alot of south coast teams in the Championship next season being Us (Saints!), SK8S, Brighton, Etc but we'l see!

Anyone else irritated by that children's tv matey whos presenting the show putting that fake voice on. He should do the voiceovers for the burger king adverts.

Also just have to say that carte dorr vanilla ice-cream is the mutts nuts. That was gooood.

Half time score 2-1 to Huddersfield.

Loanee Danny Ward fizzed in the second just before the half-time whistle...

Don't really want Hudds to go up, we never do well at the Galpharm.

Wow I am Pretty Glad that I am watching this game now as I was Pretty Pleased that Bompey scored the pen but then Hudds score right at the death of the 1st half to lead 2-1 (3-2!) at half time so the next 45Mins or 75Mins/Pens should be interesting and hopefully like I said in my last post that Bompey will do the

South Coast Proud and pull it out the bag and get something out the game but we'l see!

If Bompey score another will that put them in the driving seat on the away goals rule? Or does the away goals rule not apply?

I can't believe any Saints fan can ask that question after the way Saints went out in Derby in 2007.

No, away goals do not count in the Football League Play-Offs.

Think bompey need to spend another season in l1 though. Don't want them getting ahead of themselves.

What a goal by ballmouth! Come on cherries, see this through!!

Yeh fingers crossed Bompey can hold on and take it to Extra Time at least and how ironic would it be that Bompey beat Hudds and go through to the Final at Old Trafford and fingers crossed go up and join the other South Coast teams but like I said we'l see!

Posted

you just know that the cherries are going to somehow do it......after the great season hudders having and getting a points total that for the last 18 years would have seen them up in the top 2

Anyone know a stream?

I'm on Tykestv2.info... if you steal my bandwidth I'll kill you ;)

As others have said it'll be a shame that one of them has to lose, they've both been excellent, Udders have had the better chances but Bompey have carved out a couple of excellent goals
