Crab Lungs Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 Just watching the Norwich promotion party and was wondering... if we get promoted to the Premier League at any point in the near future, what exactly would be the arrangements if we had a party in the city? What would be the open bus top route? I can't think of anywhere the players could congregate on a balcony so where would it be hosted? Any ideas?
stevegrant Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 Surely something like that would have to be in the new Guildhall square? Plenty of space, and I'm sure the council would be happy to build a stage for it. Nothing like getting ahead of ourselves though, eh?

I know, but I just thought "Where the hell would we host ours!?" I was thinking Southsea common would be a good idea, just to serve as a reminder who is the boss round 'ere...
Saint Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 On the Itchen bridge. We can all bring dingys and rafts and float about applauding them.
Crab Lungs Posted 10 May, 2011 Author Posted 10 May, 2011 On the Itchen bridge. We can all bring dingys and rafts and float about applauding them. I would actually really, really like to do that, purely for comedic value.
Toomer Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 My dream, last game of the season Skates away we need a point to go up 3 to win the league Skates need a point to stay up 85 mins gone score is 0-0 then we have a Steve Moran moment we go up as champions and send them down, do dreams ever come true.
Saint Samuel Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 My dream, last game of the season Skates away we need a point to go up 3 to win the league Skates need a point to stay up 85 mins gone score is 0-0 then we have a Steve Moran moment we go up as champions and send them down, do dreams ever come true. Now that would be living the dream, but I would be satisfied with being the team that beats them to get them relegated.

I doubt there's a single saints fan that isn't thinking the same way, after the pain of last time at theirs i can't think of anything sweeter.

I had a simular dream the other night except we won the league against them at SMS!

paulwantsapint Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 you missed the bit where with us winning 1-0 in 98th min when with last kick of game they get a pen that KD saves before running length of pitch doing a Channon
Golden Balls Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 Would have to be guildhall square. Could fit bloody 1000s of people there.

SNSUN Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 Fratton Park - rub our success in their faces, albeit a bit of a squeeze for us all, then trash the place afterwards. They'll never know the difference...
