bubblyone Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 Well said.Im a block 42 ST holder and have been since the Prem days, but that doesnt make me any better than anyone else.It just makes me lucky i have a job that allows this and the money to afford it. It was bloody marvellous seeing a full stadium on Saturday and those extra fans added to the atmosphere. Those waving their STs are just embarrassing. This is roughly my situation except i have a 11 year old son desperate to go regularly next season. I don't think i'm going to stretch to 2 season tickets, so i may have to miss a few next year and am already starting to feel the pain!! How many of the so called 'plastics' on saturday would dearly love to be there every week?
scotty Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 I had a Season Ticket for about 15 years before 4 children and shift work made it impossible to continue. I never ever thought people without Season Tickets were less of a fan than me, and I never worried about how many games people had attended. I dont know where all this obsession with Season Tickets, or how many games people go to has come from. In my eyes if you're a Saint you're a Saint. ****ing hell, it's been bad enough supporting the club for the past 5 years, without our own fans turning on each other. I demand a recount.
1976_Child Posted 10 May, 2011 Posted 10 May, 2011 Incidentally, how old was this lad? If he was sat near me I would have ripped him a new a-hole. Cheeky little ****.

I'd guess he was about 18. He definately would have deserved it, but would have been a bit of an easy target really as he was already in a bit of a state so prob best the stewards sorted it (eventually).
The9 Posted 11 May, 2011 Posted 11 May, 2011 "Adam Lallana, he hates plastic fans" That, along with the pork song I've read about, didn't even make it as far as Block 41, so I can safely say they were a tiny minority. I did see the ST-wavers though, about 15-20 of them. Big f'n deal, I also have an ST and the long and short is it means I get in cheaper. We're no longer a dismal side who no-one else is interested in watching, people may as well get used to it (hopefully).
