Was earlier than that, I renewed on the 12th

Correct, I actually just read the article I posted and they said ST holders could renew from the 1st June. There must have been an earlier article that I can't seem to find.

Block 43 only goes to away fans for cup games

Wrong, if an away side were to take a full allocation for a league game they would have Blocks 43 to 48, which is approx 3,200 (10% of capacity). For Cup games they can be given Block 42 (or part of) which takes it up to the 15% of capacity allowed for away fans for cup games.

Something is about to happen, as unless my computer is being protective, the link posted here : http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1635574,00.html on Sunday 29th May 2011 just keeps going round and round?

They must have updated it on the weekend to show the seating plan because since the day after the last game of the season that link has shown blank content where they took off the old season ticket info.

Any news yet, this is getting ridiculous. I may go out on a £400 drinking binge over the next few days and not get my ST. That'll teach Cortese a lesson. Of course if I then end up going to enough games, he wins anyway...

Stop fretting you bunch of mugs. It's over 2 months until the season starts FFS!!! Why are you all so desperate to part with your hard earned?!! Would you join a new gym and then tell them you want to pay for it all upfront but dont want to use it for 2 1/2 months FFS!!! Chill out, enjoy the summer, get some other interests FFS!!!

Make your mind up, how am I going to pay for these "other interests"? All my money is tied up in potentially paying for a Season Ticket of indeterminate value. At. Some. Point.

You should be delighted, the later they are announced the longer you have to save. as for your other interests, surely that shouldn't be a problem as you'd have paid for them in January, given your desperation for paying for things long before you need them.

just out of interest, are there any other clubs in the country who have yet to put season tickets on sale, or even announce the details?

I had a look at championship clubs the other day and couldn't find one that didn't.

There will be no "saving", as I was paying off interest charges on the loan I took out for last year's ST with the money I would have been saving. So that makes no difference to me. I'm prepared to try and find money earlier to get instalments back though as that's much more convenient.

Of course the other thing is the lingering doubt that we'll have STs at all, so I'd rather hear the news sooner rather than later one way or another...

Exactly. It's not about wanting to "pay out money early", but it would be nice for the club to do what pretty much every other club in the country does and bother to keep supporters informed of what is happening, will I be paying £350/£400/£450 etc, will I be paying it in May (well obviously not now), June, July or across a period of time.....Some people are clearly not effected by such things, but it would be handy to at least be told what to expect, I don't think that is having particularly high expectations of the club is it?

assume £450 straight away, longer it goes on, or if its less you are better off!

Well yeah, obviously I'm making those sort of assumptions, just don't see the harm in telling us what will actually happen, don't really expect that's too much to ask.

This is TSW and you have comitted the cardinal sin of not having your head firmly entrenched up Corteses arse.

if you guess that the amount will be small increase on last season and you can first use it early August you won't be far off.

Well I've got a feeling it'll be more than a "small increase" - not something a necessarily have a problem with, would be good to know either way though...................

Wrong. Not even Cortese would expect top whack before he can guarantee a full house. Competition for spaces it's called. My guess is it won't be a blanket increase of 20% but a variable rate depending on position and seat cost, say 25/30% on higher value tickets and maybe only 10/15% on lower value tickets.

That way you don't lose those least able to pay and the rich bastards can subsidise the poor. It's called being decent and democratic if you're poor and soaking withe **** if you're rich. A time honoured principle and imaginative unlike the football we'll get to see.

When Arsenal lose their Champions League Qualifying Round, you can go to the Emirates on a Thursday night instead.

Where did I mention "top whack"? I said I had a feeling it would be than a small increase. And as for not charging top whack unless you have got a full house, both QPR and Leeds seem to be realising that a full house is not necessarily the main priority for optimising gate receipts, but rinsing out as much cash as you can from the hardcore supporters that unfortunately will pay anything they have to in order to watch their side.

I know where your tongue is stuck Turkish LOL!!!!!

And having taken that on board I have to say that my thoughts here is not how quickly can I part with my money (which as you say goes against the norm), but instead perhaps thinking what this delay will have on season ticket take ups and the related knock ons in terms of attendances and revenue generated (although there's also a dash of intrigue and anticipation as to what the prices will be).

I certainly want to see my Club play in the biggest attendances possible and I just can't help but think that this delay might have an impact on that. I'm sure blazing football and a winning start will attract the punters, but also feel that season tickets underpin attendances and we should be doing all we can to attract people to part with their money.

The Club may spring something sensational on us, but I can't help but think that we should have been trading off the euphoria of promotion and giving people every chance to get regular bums on seats.

Exactly!! Very simple question, since last summer have the actions of sfc been of a club that wants to sell season tickets? In my opinion the answer is a resounding NO

How much will effect will this supposed delay have on season ticket sales? None. Are people really going to refuse to renew or decided in August not to bother this season because season tickets didn't go on sale until two weeks after the rest of the division. People will still get them and still go. Look at you all on here, like a pack of blood thirsty hounds desperately waiting for even a snippet of information from our wonder chairman as to when you can give him your cash. I think it's a lovely gesture from our Nicky to let you keep you pennies in the bank for as long as possible and generating interest on them or giving those who need it more time to save for it. It terms of gestures of goodwill from Super Nicky it's up there with the message on the barriers in the car park wishing you to "have a nice day" as you drive off, you never used to get that off of the miserable stewards who used to man the gate. This club is progressing everday and i see this as more evidence to support this.

When did you go all Alanis Morrissette????

Maybe the plan is that as we speed towards the season everything becomes inverted and we'll end up being paid to go and watch. Cortese will just have hitch up a line to Harbour House and get the flux capacitor charged up.

Back to The Future (1977) and £10.00 season tickets

Prehaps, dont forget, according to Hypo's mate inside the club we have "too much money" maybe paying fans to go to games is Super Nickys way of getting rid of some of it?

On another note i think the cost of the season ticket is worth it just to see Jonno Quick, average of a goal per start is phenominal and a better goal to game ratio than Messi. I am looking forward to seeing Jonno Quick tear the championship apart next season, with his lightening speed and incredible strength.

It will have some effect. The effect might not be great, but it's that time of year when people start thinking about a sunshine break. That is why clubs generally open the window as early as possible.

I really am starting to worry about this now.

Mainly because my other half is applying pressure for me to use me season ticket money for something less 'selfish.' I can understand her point...... Please can the club release the renewel terms now so I can ensure I get my seat for the coming season!

Why should we be desperate?

Desperate businesses don't do well and make commercially irational long-term decisions for short-term reasons.

Our attendances were good last year. They will be better this year.
