Trader Posted 2 June, 2011 Posted 2 June, 2011 normal business models don't apply in football though - its not like getting fed up with customer service at Debenhams so you go to John Lewis, you are hardly likely to go and get a fratton park season ticket due to their better OS! No, but you might decide just to watch Jeff Stelliing and co. on a Saturday afternoon, particularly if the price increase is a bit steep. I really think it's a p1ss poor way to treat your customers.
NickG Posted 2 June, 2011 Posted 2 June, 2011 if their is price increase maybe, just because not announced tonight? No.
Saint_clark Posted 2 June, 2011 Posted 2 June, 2011 No, but you might decide just to watch Jeff Stelliing and co. on a Saturday afternoon, particularly if the price increase is a bit steep. I really think it's a p1ss poor way to treat your customers. I wouldn't miss our promotion season from the Championship for any reason (i'm aware it may be a few years away yet) but I may end up having to just watch SSN when we spend a while in the Prem and prices get too much. The JCLs will have my seat then.
Liquidshokk Posted 2 June, 2011 Posted 2 June, 2011 they know if the team is winning and playing good football etc the fans will follow - so it pretty much does! doubt the timing or manner of the announcement will financially impact on the club at all Not specifically this delay but the general lack of communication that people have commented on of late may leave a bad taste in some mouths... My point is that good communication and most of the other simple things that make your fans happy are often not carried out by saints and doing them would only make people love the club even more and be more inclined to throw money into it... I could understand it if the things we cry out for made their work a lot harder or cost them money but it's just elements of good customer service most of the time.
hamster Posted 2 June, 2011 Posted 2 June, 2011 Im gonna write a very strongly worded poem to display that although disappoited I am not allowing this to alter my mood.

'Nice to do rather' than 'need to do' when things are going well.

Even in an industry such as football where loyalty is much stronger, people **** off their customer base at their peril. The club has a hell of a lot of goodwill among the fanbase right now, and rightly so, but most people still won't appreciate being treated like complete mugs. I don't understand the point in saying ST details will be released tonight and then not doing so - it serves no purpose to anyone. Intentionally or otherwise, it's misleading, and clearly plenty of people have stayed up tonight to get the details as soon as they're released. Half-decent communication really doesn't take a great deal of time or effort.
SuperMikey Posted 2 June, 2011 Posted 2 June, 2011 I am going to write a very strongly worded haiku to try and convey my emotions on this subject. We wait avidly, For news of season tickets, How much longer, please? OR Prices still unknown, How long shall we all suffer, Please f*cking tell me.

Liquidshokk Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 In the "saints season ticket news survival of the fittest game" I quit. Night people.
SuperMikey Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 It doesn't even rhyme, you been on the cider again? Haikus don't rhyme - you obviously have little understanding of Japanese culture. And yes, I have been on the cider...
hamster Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 Two minutes and one hour I gave the benefit of doubt Two minutes and one hour I now say Sibley OUT

Liquidshokk Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 Discounts next season for all those that stayed up? They can check the post history of this thread to see who did. Ok maybe another 3 hours then ;-)
hamster Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 I'll settle for no less than a nice cup of tea served by Jordan Sibley.
Saint_clark Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 Ok maybe another 3 hours then ;-) Agreed. Cracking open a bottle of cider, sticking some music on and putting the JPT final DVD on the telly. F*ck it.
Saint_clark Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 back? He was complaining about "at least 5 of the goals" being offside in the annual staff match, and he'd be in a good position to judge at right back.
Matthew Le God Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 How easy is it to move my season ticket? I'm guessing it isn't difficult for them and I can do it in the first window of season ticket renewal sales?
Colinjb Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 How easy is it to move my season ticket? I'm guessing it isn't difficult for them and I can do it in the first window of season ticket renewal sales? Yes, I believe so. A friend of mine moved into the family enclosure to join us all last year.
Pilchards Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 So they played a game to get our local paper holding the print to announce the season ticket prices? thats bloody childish, not only have you ****ed off the echo but a few hundred fans as well.

Liquidshokk Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 Seems sibley and Sony went to the same "how to treat your customers" course.. Only thing worse than putting that original statement out there is not putting another one out to update people when you know it's not going to happen anymore.... Jordansibley "The difficult I do at once. The impossible takes a bit longer, but the easy you can forget"
hamster Posted 3 June, 2011 Posted 3 June, 2011 I'm tempted to ask what the f this Haiku nonsense is really about but reckon I can wait for my grandson to wake in about 7 hours and ask him to have a go, they would surley be better than any of the sh1te that you idiots have come up with.
