Appy Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Any ideas why Fonte didn't take part in the lap of honour? Forecast punched his wife.

Lighthouse Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 No he isn't... Made my weekend in the first 5 minutes when AOC tried to skin him and found that he couldn't actually get around Williams in time to get to the ball. Was a good afternoon out. Was great to see Niemi in front of the Northam, got a good round of applause after his interview and pulled off a decent save to deny Lallana. Bart performed some form of acrobatics to try and keep out a lob from Jo Tessem, which went over anyway. Forecast came on at the end and waved to the Northam after one clearance, nobody gave a sh*t. The first team were understandably pedestrian, although to Guly's credit he seemed to give it a go. His second goal (Jones was in goal) is well worth a watch if there are any highlights kicking around. Tessem and Idiakez looked pretty good for All Stars, although neither was close to even League 2 standard. Our most recent player, Murty wandered forward a few times. All in all a good laugh, although that announcer did get on my tits bit though.

sfc4prem Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Good day out and it was nice to be able to give the players a sending off with their lap if honour. Guly was oozing quality. Paul Williams is morbidly obese.
latter day saint Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Did anyone notice that virtually all our young subs appear to have been cloned in a giant lab under Staplewood, or possibly the result of some sinister breeding programme to create the master-race, started circa 1995 by one R Lowe? were you sat near me in block 4,as i said the exact same thing! had good afternoon, watching Saints past & present having a nice kickabout in the sun. glad i shuck off the hangover & ignored the bad back in the end.
matt75 Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Great day out with the kids, the youngest's 1st match. We hung around after and they all got autographs and photos from most the players, they were all happy to stop and pose and very relaxed.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Crikey, glad I couldn't go now - all those blasted plastic kids screaming and running around all over the place would have done me 'ead in. ;)
Macey_J2 Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Who is the guy on the microphone? Steve Bennett, local lad, pretty sure he was one of the group that cycled to the brighton match to raise money for the saints foundation.
Mowgli Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Paul Williams is morbidly obese. It's body muscle FFS.... ;~)
Jonnyboy Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 A good time had, my Mrs and our 13 month year old came to their first games and neither hated it!

eelpie Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Such a shame Skacel's signature was not completed in time.
Smirking_Saint Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 From a poster on another thread, neither Matt or Benali were asked which has taken the gloss off the day for me somewhat. never miss the chance for a dig do you ? Sad little man
the saint in winchester Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 A fun afternoon & good to see some old faces. Higher turnout than for Skates last home league game, LOL. Did anyone notice that virtually all our young subs appear to have been cloned in a giant lab under Staplewood, or possibly the result of some sinister breeding programme to create the master-race, started circa 1995 by one R Lowe? Haha, yeah, agree with you. We were trying to put names to them and failng, concluding they all look the same - 5'6", blonde hair, yellow boots!!
Saint Garrett Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 James wards prowse stood out for me when they all came on, looks like he could be good, obviosly can't really tell from a game like this though !
Crab Lungs Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 No he isn't... John Coffee? I wanted to see Adkins come on in Goal for the legends team So did I A fun afternoon & good to see some old faces. ericofarabia Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 Good day out and it was nice to be able to give the players a sending off with their lap if honour. Guly was oozing quality. Paul Williams is morbidly obese. Scroll through Tractor Saints pics till you reach Lallana by the corner flag - then look for the guy in the front row - is that Steve Bull ? - the guy who used to wobble on the MOTD intro when we were Prem?
Ash Posted 8 May, 2011 Posted 8 May, 2011 I see you drivin' round town with the girl I love and I'm like Forget you!!

S4INT Posted 9 May, 2011 Posted 9 May, 2011 Anti Niemi in a current season goalkeeper's shirt making saves with Svensson in front of him - what more could you ask for?

Did anyone notice that virtually all our young subs appear to have been cloned in a giant lab under Staplewood, or possibly the result of some sinister breeding programme to create the master-race, started circa 1995 by one R Lowe? I noticed that too. All blond and, I have to say, quite short.

Window Cleaner Posted 9 May, 2011 Posted 9 May, 2011 Strange that Morgan,Connolly and Butters didn't make the pitch though. All injured?
Jimmy_D Posted 9 May, 2011 Posted 9 May, 2011 Anti Niemi in a current season goalkeeper's shirt making saves with Svensson in front of him - what more could you ask for? For Killer to have Claus beside him in front of Niemi in a current season goalkeeper shirt... Oh wait!
Lighthouse Posted 9 May, 2011 Posted 9 May, 2011 Strange that Morgan,Connolly and Butters didn't make the pitch though. All injured? Morgan is just back from a fairly long injury, so playing 2 games in 2 days would just be silly. Connolly is getting on a bit and is very injury prone. Butters didn't feature Saturday either so who knows, maybe he is carrying a small knock.
Redondo Saint Posted 9 May, 2011 Posted 9 May, 2011 Can some one post the players in the Saints 11 please? I don't see it listed anywhere.. cheers
