I see he is being dropped tonight after a slating from Jim Magilton:

'Every mistake he makes ends up with the ball in the net'.

Maybe we had a lucky escape by not signing him.

That often happens with goalies

Still he did a pretty good job for us and that's about it.

We couldn't afford him so it's academic really. Perhaps the "mistakes"

are due to Ipswich's crap defence.Magilton must be under some pressure right now, I think they've spent a fair bit of folding and the results are little better than other sides who are built from waste cardboard and straw. He's hitting out at his players in public, managers shouldn't do that, not individually. Say he's not pleased or whatever but not blame individuals in public.

Wouldn't think that, occupational hazard is what Magilton has pointed out and something that all keepers experience, I'm sure he's professional enough to take on the chin and, just like Davis, will prove his current doubters wrong whether at Ipswich or else where.

all decent keepers have periods of very good form -Richard Wright earlier in his career and for us, and other periods such as now.

KD is decent keeper as well and has had some very good periods, as well as his obvious disasters.

I wouldn't say there is much between them -only form.

A great keeper adds the consistancy -don't remember Shilton having too many bad runs!

"I expect to name an unchanged squad.

"Richard Wright is an experienced goalkeeper. Unfortunately every mistake he's made has resulted in a goal. Obviously that is going to affect his confidence.

"I'm sure [shane Supple] is bouncing out of his skin to play. I know if selected he will never let me down."

The full quote doesn't sound like as much of a slating as the original post...
