Otherwise the Champions and the playoff winners would receive a trophy and the runners up would get nothing, which just doesn't make any sense. Just think, if we'd won one more game this season we'd have been champions. Just shows you how well we've done given the awful start to the season.

stardustonmyfeet Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 If there ever was an ideal time to lose all your remaining games, it would be after sealing the title several weeks early. But I agree it could cause doubts for next season. Then again, whenever we've finished the season exceptionally well, it never seems to have an impact several months later so I imagine it'll be a clean slate when the NPC starts in the not-so-distant future.

From about 10 minutes before the end of the game there was a small table just outside the players' tunnel with a red cloth on it. The writing was something like 'Npower going up' The tinpot cup was standing on this table.

Pugwash Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 They should take out a couple of rows of seats and erect a plinth in front of the directors box for these occasions - like an old-style Wembley affair. After all this sort of thing could turn out to be a regular event.
