Son of Bob Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 If the game goes ahead today I think people really need to think again about invading the pitch. I'm no kill-joy believe me, I would probably have been on there myself but 10,000 pairs of shoes on a rain sodden pitch would destroy it. If that was the case the club will be extremely ******ed off with the supporters and I would very much doubt tomorrows game would go ahead.
Junction 9 Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 You do realise the vast majority of the people there wont be reading this don't you?
Son of Bob Posted 7 May, 2011 Author Posted 7 May, 2011 Really? I thought every single Saints fan read this forum? Oh no, I'm gutted. I'll just shuffle off and shut my face up now...
JackanorySFC Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 On the pitch, on the pitch, on the pitch! Tenner to anyone that goes early and "does a klinsmann" on the slidy surface!

Jonnyboy Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 Its stopped raining now and isnt forecast to go again until around kick off, might not be that wet...
This Charming Man Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 Who cares about tomorrow's game? Pointless and more than likely only being done by the club to try and stop any pitch invasions today. Plus how on earth can you have a Saints All Star squad without the biggest star of them all? ON THE PITCH, ON THE PITCH, ON THE PITCH

The Cat Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 I might take my wellies just in case the pitch is a bit wet in places, don't want to ruin my trainers.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 The playing surface will be relaid over the summer I think (happens most seasons I believe) and I doubt it's condition will affect Sundays game. Having said that, while I understand the party spirit will be among us all, I really don't think running on the pitch is a particularly good idea. Would rather see the players with their families on the pitch doing a lap of honour - they bloody well deserve it.
Crab Lungs Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 I've always found pitch invasions absolutely pointless. You run on, cheer for a little bit and then walk around aimlessly. What exactly is the point of that?
bender Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 The fact theres nothing on the OS or Echo about warning the fans not to come on the pitch tells me theyre not that bothered about it. Never forget the pitch invasion 3 years ago when everyone rushed on there as they announced the Leicester score meaning Saints had stayed up. Quality.
Spudders Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 Would rather see the players with their families on the pitch doing a lap of honour - they bloody well deserve it. This for me. I went on with everyone after we avoided relegation against Sheffield, but today I won't be bothering. Don't really see the point, would much rather see the players do a lap.
manji Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 I've always found pitch invasions absolutely pointless. You run on, cheer for a little bit and then walk around aimlessly. What exactly is the point of that? Dont forget taking dopey photos on your phone as well.....................
Turkish Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 I've always found pitch invasions absolutely pointless. You run on, cheer for a little bit and then walk around aimlessly. What exactly is the point of that? I agree, in fact going to the game is pointless. You just sit/stand in the stands, cheer a bit, moan, then go home or to the pub aimlessly. What excatly is the point of that?
benjii Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 I've always found pitch invasions absolutely pointless. You run on, cheer for a little bit and then walk around aimlessly. What exactly is the point of that? No, no, no. It is the greatest adrenaline rush known to man. There is no greater act of life-affirmation, of value creation, of pour soi, than this. To fail to appreciate the joy is to fail to live, to be human, to breath. I pity your lifeless sop of an existence. ON THE PITCH!!! SAFAMPTIN TIl I DIEEE!!!
benjii Posted 7 May, 2011 Posted 7 May, 2011 I'd like to see the players on the pitch, actually, with their pieces of fanny too. Then we discuss who has the best bit of clunge.
