bender Posted 13 May, 2011 Share Posted 13 May, 2011 Our initial aim should be to simply compete in this division. Saints are notorious bad starters so if we can win some, lose some at the start, thats fine by me. Then maybe invest in January and go for the play offs or if possible make a late charge for auto. I would be happy if it went like last season (09/10) where we didnt make the play offs or anything but still had some memorable days.
dubai_phil Posted 13 May, 2011 Share Posted 13 May, 2011 Promotion is our aim this season, End of discussion. Not Top Two or a Playoff spot, simply Promotion. Every signing, our pre-season, our scouting & recuriting staff must build on that basis. Set the team up from day one to compete and win games and to have tactical flexibility. Under NO circumstances buy squad players and set out simply to survive. Will we do it? I think we have a good chance IF close season goes well. Things seem stable, our Physio won't make the same mistakes as AP. Why the hell not and if it comes via the playoffs? Great. We're owed a play off final at least after the last nightmare
