itchen_dan Posted 6 May, 2011 Author Posted 6 May, 2011 Oh dear - the curse of MotM could haunt us tomorrow! 20 goal turnaround? Please... dont say that. Then again, Saints always like to do things the hard way!

Mao Cap Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Oh dear - the curse of MotM could haunt us tomorrow! 20 goal turnaround? Nah, it doesn't work like that...the bad luck will be passed on to next season and we won't win a game for the whole of August!
Son of Bob Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Nah, it doesn't work like that...the bad luck will be passed on to next season and we won't win a game for the whole of August! That's just a regulation start to the season for us!
London Saint Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2354019,00.html Is it me or does his head look superimposed on someone else's body?
rallyboy Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 excellent and well deserved. And let's just bury this myth that Saints always falter. We have been under massive pressure for three months - have we been shipping last minute goals, wobbling as soon as the oppostion get at us? No way. MK Dons threw everything at us but we didn't crack - we battled, players out on their feet fought for the points and an exhausted Barnard ran to Woolston with the ball. We are no longer that weak team, our award-winning manager has created a winning mentality.
Joey-deacons-left-nut Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 "our award-winning manager has created a winning mentality" IN the team yeah... but for the rest of us it's a feelign we get from 30 odd years of dissapointment!
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Time to change the curse, very pleased for him. Indeed! I wonder if they know over on the Brighton forums? Another reason to get all bitter and twisted!
Foxstone Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Well deserved Nigel... A mentally tough manager in charge of a well drilled mentally tough team.. Lets finish the job in style tomorrow Nigel !
(not THE) Kevin Moore Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 don't anyone tell Gus 'best manager in the world innit' Poyet!!! He's already got a MASSIVE chip on his shoulder and I worry that this news might just put his back out!!! Oh and thoroughly well deserved I'd say, we all of us expected us to slip up somewhere but we relentlessly picked up the points while under extreme pressure from Huddersfield, that's down to the belief, team spirit and winning mentality instilled in the players by Adkins, and to the signings he welcomed aboard the bus in Jan.
saintjay77 Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2354019,00.html Is it me or does his head look superimposed on someone else's body? I was thinking I had seen him in a film before when I saw that picture...... Time Bandits or Jackass or something similar.....
Appy Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Hang on... it's not Gus Poyet? Usually you don't win if you're not nominated .
Window Cleaner Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Usually you don't win if you're not nominated . And why should he be, Brighton lost their last 2 home games in April.
Appy Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 And why should he be, Brighton lost their last 2 home games in April. I didn't say he should.
Son of Bob Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 I didn't say he should. I'm sure HE thinks he should!
bender Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 I'm sure HE thinks he should! Yes but HE is a jug eared oil bag.
West End Saint Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Fair play to Adkins he has been under pressure since day 1 nothing but promotion was acceptable & after the start we had & the amazing run Udders have been on he has done a great job very pleased for him. He was not the big name Manager we thought we would get but he has been brill any other season we would have won this league very glad he proved many wrong including me well done Nigel
Matthew Le God Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Anyone that believes in a "Manager of the Month curse" or fate, are superstitious idiots of the highest order.
Dazza82 Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 Hang on... it's not Gus Poyet? Dont worry in ten years time they will look back and not remember Adkins winning MoM for April
John Cool Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 I think he deserves a song at the Walsall match. Not very original but I thought of... Nice one Nigel Nice one son Nice one Nigel Let's have another one* * promotion :-)
