The Cat Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Just wondered how many everyone has done? I haven't included friendlies in my total, but Saturday's game against Walsall is. I've been to 44 out of 53. All home league and cup games plus 14 away. I'm sure some have done every match?
Joey-deacons-left-nut Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 8 or 9 I guess... just don't have the time these days.
Jimmy_D Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Every home game - season ticket, plus the Man Utd game, I think that's it for this season.
Bourno Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 This is the first season that I have managed to do all home and away.
Saint Garrett Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 W 9 D 3 L 8 9 home matches 11 away matches Hopefully 10 wins by Sunday!

stevegrant Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Missed 5 away games (Sheff Weds, Yeovil, Oldham, Walsall, Colchester), done all the rest.
holepuncture Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 this is the thread where you find the most informed, knowledgeable and respected SWF posters and contributors... actually go to **** all games! (30x FWIW) A thread on 'how many games have you listened to on Saints Player/Solent this season' might boost the numbers! a Bit *****y that... sorry
Saint Lindford Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 21 home league games 10 away league games 4 home FA Cup games 1 home League cup game 1 home JPT game
oldsarum Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 I've been to every game, I as managed to do the same in our last promotion season in 1977/78 Know four other London Saints who have also not missed a game all season
Saint Garrett Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Not easy to get to home games when you're a student in Sheffield!!
Macey_J2 Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 All home league matches (23 inc Walsall) 3 FA cup not inc Man Utd, & 2 away 28 total
Dimond Geezer Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 (edited) Every home game, (league & cups), + Sundays exhibition match 31 Total Edited 5 May, 2011 by Dimond Geezer
Ashley Grute Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 33 - all home league and cup except Man U and a handful of away- fair play to the cat, Bourno and stevegrant- I would like to do more away games but I have to spend some saturdays with the wife!
Petersfield Saint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Just the one this year But MK Dons at home - what a game to make it to!
doddisalegend Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 All most all home games (ST) but missed Posh and hudders and yeovil due to family comitments. Cheltenham and Blackpool in the cups I had a ticket to go to ManU as well but put my back out so my dad went with my ticket instead
saintscottofthenortham Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Walsall will be my 32nd game of the season.
Mark Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 All home games except Man United - couldn't be arsed. 10 away games - Mk Dons, Dagenham, Bompey, Hartlepool, Walsall, Carlisle, Plymouth, Brentford, Notts County & Peterborough.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 4 this season, just haven't been able to this year. Season Ticket next year though.
ladysaint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 52 after Saturday missed Oldham away as had a hospital appointment and then they went and won 6-0.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Missed one home league game, been to 13 away games and 2 cup games I think. So 37. Disappointing compared to last season!
Saint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 All home league games except Colchester back in September (I think). Lucky that was a boring 0-0. Plus, Man Utd and Blackpool in the FA Cup.
shirleysfc Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 All home league, 2 x home fa cup, 2 x home league cup, 1 x home JPT, 8 x away
Lets B Avenue Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 48 out of 53. Missed 2 home . Plymouth (saw it on TV sheltering from the rain at the Edgbaston Test) and Bompey (league match). 3 away. Sheff Wed, Oldham (despite begging people to go) and Colchester.
Sour Mash Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Done all home and away, league and cup, apart from Swindon (h) in JPT and Bolton at home in the League Cup. Know a fair few who've done them all. With all the games called off and moved this season its been a real effort for anyone to manage all the aways.
Saint Malc Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Every one of 'em including Sutton and Barnet :-) (but not FC Thun or FC Souchaux so a bit of a lightweight).
rallyboy Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 surely Ladysaint takes the prize only missing the one - a 6-0 away win - plastic! That's better than doing the lot, it shows that you can still have one regret in a fantastic season.
SuperMikey Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Leyton Orient - Home Colchester - Home Bournemouth - Home Tranmere - Home Oldham - Home Dag&Red - Home Brighton - Home Blackpool - Home Man Utd - Home Carlisle - Home Yeovil - Home Charlton - Away Brentford - Away Walsall - Home I don't have a ST, otherwise I would've gone to every home game, but at £20 a pop I can't afford to go every week.
alpine_saint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Zero - so f**king what ? What a truly w*nky d*ck-measuring thread this is. Obviously, everyone should attend the coronation of TheCat as THE Über Fan.....
doughnutman Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Based on that im a student living in Cardiff, i've managed: Reading (Preseason Friendly) Leyton Orient (H) Rochdale (H) Colchester (H) Huddersfield (H) Exeter (H) Blackpool (H) Bristol Rovers (H) Hartlepool (H)
obelisk Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 I haven't managed to get to one game at all this season I'm sorry to say. Too many other things going on. Given the turn of events I could take it personally and make myself officially a bad omen. It was my plan to attend many more games next season but maybe if I stay away another promotion can be guaranteed.

Really this thread is seriously f**king stupid.

Obviously, everyone should attend the coronation of TheCat as THE Über Fan..... Hardly. I've missed 9 games. Is it not a fair question to ask? I thought it might be interesting to find out, and as you can see plenty of others have joined in - including some who haven't been to many games. However only you saw fit to come on and write something negative.

And you just have to see the joyless way some 'superfans' go to games - they're obsessives and the spirit of the game is totally lost on them. Edited 5 May, 2011 by shurlock

You started banging on this site about attendance rates right after the Argyle game, and your first post was abuse directed at me. Be honest and admit that you are using this thread a a means to pre-judge the other posters against yourself.

alpine_saint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Agree totally. And just you have to see the joyless way some 'superfans' go to games - they're obsessives and the spirit of the game is totally lost on them. When I can go, when I get to go, I feel pure excitement and am looking forward to it for days before. I dont see why some sad-act beer-swilling pie-munching f**kwit has the right to judge others irrespective of their circumstances. Does he have a f**king clue what its like not being able to participate in the celebrations after yearning for something to happen for years. Yes, he is TheC, but it aint TheCat.......

You spend far too much time on a website discussing a football team that you never see play to be normal.

Be honest and admit that you are using this thread a a means to pre-judge the other posters against yourself. Not at all. I'm not narrow minded enough to judge people I don't know on their own personal circumstances. Things change, and some people who went to a handful of games this season may have been to loads last year, or will do next season. The season after the Great Escape I only made 5 matches despite living in Thornberry Avenue, 1 minute walk from the Dell. I just had no money. The season after I went to over 30. If you want to get all stroppy about an innocent question then fine, feel free.
