Dazza82 Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 What do you think will be the line up? Any changes or start with our strongest available? Id go with ---------------Davis------------ Butterfield-Fonte-Jaidi-Dickson -----------Schneiderlin----------- ----Chaplow--------Hammond---- -------------Lallana-------------- ------Lambert-------Connolly------ Subs Bialkowski Martin Harding Forte Gobern Holmes Guly
dubai_phil Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 I think (hope) he may give Bart a League start to allow KD to soak up the atmosphere from the bench Otherwise maybe our Academy's finest will get a bench slot to give him an idea of what he should aspire to, but the lads who got us in this position deserve to have their moment in the sun (IMHO)

Saint Garrett Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 Bart Butterfield, Martin, Seaborne, Dickson Oxo??? Schneiderlin, Stephens, Lallana Lambert, Connolly
Chez Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 Bit harsh on Stephens. he's been cack in my eyes, but I'd play him just to give him one more chance. That said I think we've already signed him.
Chez Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 So long as jaidi is playing i don't care I'd of thought we'd give him an hour, but I'm sure Adkins would like to see a bit more of Martin.
View From The Top Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 Full strength team and get out of this sh*t league on a high.
Dalek2003 Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 We have to put out our best side, no showboating. We need to get a win to e fair to Walsall's opponents at the bottom of the league. Besides, we are not up yet, anything could happen.
benjii Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 Full strength team and get out of this sh*t league on a high. Agree. It's not as though we have a cup final next week.
RonManager Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 We have to put out our best side, no showboating. We need to get a win to e fair to Walsall's opponents at the bottom of the league. Besides, we are not up yet, anything could happen. Agreed. I'd like to see Dagenham stay up so I hope we give it 100%.
latter day saint Posted 4 May, 2011 Posted 4 May, 2011 This is our... FINAL LEAGUE 1 GAME!!!! Oh yes. thank FOOK for that ! strong team & go out on a high please.
Barry the Badger Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 he's been cack in my eyes, but I'd play him just to give him one more chance.. Amazing how opinions can differ so much on players.
CWD Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 KD Butterfield - Jaidi - Fonte - Dickson Chaplow - Morgan - Hammond - Lallana - Lambert - Connolly- I hope we rip them a new one.
Saint_clark Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Still need a ticket anywhere in the ground if anyone has one spare.
ottery st mary Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 (edited) Davis Butterfield Fonte Jaidi Dickson (Harding still injured?) Chaplow Hammond Lallana Stephens Connolly Lambert Subs Bart Seaborne Gobern Martin Spiderman Forte Richardson....... 4-0 win for the mighty Saints.. Believe Guly and Harding injured.. Edited 5 May, 2011 by ottery st mary Forgot final score
Mowgli Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Looks like Oxo back in the squad so IMO Bart Butterfield Fonte Jaidi Dickson Forte Schneiderlin Hammond Lallana Lambert Connolly Subs: Davis, Richardson, Martin, Seaborne, Chamberlain, Gobern, Stephens
Mowgli Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Sorry forgot Holmes - will probably be on the bench but harsh on anyone else to drop out of the 18
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Not a must win game for a change. Should see it out fairly comfortably, particularly with the pressure off. Four or five something, I reckon.
Lets B Avenue Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Agreed. I'd like to see Dagenham stay up so I hope we give it 100%. Should let them borrow Ricky, to see if "Monkey Boy" was right.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 We should play a full strength side and go for the win. Walsall will be up for it and so should we.
Saint_John Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 The referee is due to be Graham Scott from Oxfordshire. He has only been on the league list since 2008 and was the Ref for last seasons game. This season :- H 0-0 v Notts Co - missed the trip on AOC in the penalty area. a 4-0 v Bristol Rov Last Season H 0-0 v Colchester H 5-1 v Walsall http://refworld.com/referee/196/1
The Godfather Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 I would play the best team possible and hopefully give Walsall a good beating, that would be the perfect send off in my eyes. I don't care if they stay up or go down, just want to hammer them after witnessing all our missed chances at there ground!!
Matthew Le God Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Chamberlain will be on the bench at the very least.
Window Cleaner Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Chamberlain will be on the bench at the very least. Perhaps on Sunday, Saturday ? not so sure.
Matthew Le God Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Perhaps on Sunday, Saturday ? not so sure. Well the OS say he might... "Alex Chamberlain could return to the squad." As did Nigel Adkins in interview to BBC Solent.. #saintsfc Manager Nigel Adkins has hinted that Alex Oxlade Chamberlain could play some part in last league one game v Walsall. I expect he'll be on the bench.
Huntingdon Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 I'm getting quite excited & so is my nipper All his mates at school support the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, United etc. They can't understand him turning up for PE in the red sash with Lambert 7 on his back! I notice Walsall have almost sold their 1700 tickets, so should be a cracking atmosphere all round

Tartarus112 Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 For me we should be playing our full beautiful football side. Walsall is a chance for Adkins to show off how he wants to play football after Poyet's remarks. Also a few youngsters given a run out. In my mind... Bart Butterfield Fonte Martin Reeves Stephens Schneiderlin Gobern Lallana Connelly Lambert Bench Davis Seabourne McNish Racine. Is he still around? Holmes Oxo Hoskins
bristolsaint29 Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 I'm just looking forward to a bit of a party!!! Only 2 more sleeps to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
corsacar saint Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 We owe them big time for the 1-0 defeat at the beginning of march, that could have derailed our promotion hopes big time, especially as I think most of the top teams who played that night won.
Saint_Mabes Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 i'm just looking forward to a bit of a party!!! Only 2 more sleeps to go!!!!!!!!!!!!! exactly how i feel woooooooooooooooooop!!

Besides, we are not up yet, anything could happen. 100% agree. I still feel nervous despite the odds, I have seen saints throw away a seemingly impossible to lose winning position before. I hope the players are really focused for Saturday and get down to business and save the celebrating, until hopefully promotion is confirmed, after the final whistle. Imagine how red faced we would all be if the impossible happened. Plus I would hope the players aren't wanting to go up just by goal difference. Huddersfield will win there game for definate so we should set out to win ours
Andy Durman Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 To make Morgan feel part of the party I would definitely start him.

Saint Charlie Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 The players who have contributed the most to the Promotion deserve their chance to experience the atmosphere on Sat. Would be suprised if its not the strongest team available!
Leslie Charteris Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 We have to put out our best side, no showboating. We need to get a win to e fair to Walsall's opponents at the bottom of the league. Besides, we are not up yet, anything could happen. This, plus anything but a win would ruin the party atmosphere. Surely this is a "must win" game for the fans and the team's self-respect!
CWD Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Looks set to be a very wet day! I'm excited, but I'm not THAT excited!
Crab Lungs Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 Bart's definitely got to play; he's been the most excited substitute I've ever seen in recent weeks!
Guan 2.0 Posted 5 May, 2011 Posted 5 May, 2011 I'd bring on Bart, Holmes and Morgan on 85 mins, if we were winning!

It's high time to give Bench a game.

Saint Charlie Posted 6 May, 2011 Posted 6 May, 2011 You play your strongest team - always; anything else is a sign of weakness. And its those players who have earned us the Promotion, so they should take the glory of it.
