benjii Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 As it says above. Claus, Paul Jones, Egil, Doddsy, WGS...
benjii Posted 3 May, 2011 Author Posted 3 May, 2011 This is clearly confusing though because, as we all know, NC hates all history (not just loud mouths with an axe to grind).
The9 Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Didn't they learn anything from the ticket sales for the all-star match mooted around the time of Saints Aid ? EDIT : Apparently yes, because it's free. Even so, not sure I can be bothered. Are they charging Cortese Tax on them ?
Minsk Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 I would love to go to that one. I hope all of you who go along have a great time!
Liquidshokk Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Just phoned up for mine. Tickets only being sold at ticket office. No Online or phone option
beatlesaint Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Didn't they learn anything from the ticket sales for the all-star match mooted around the time of Saints Aid ? Well for one NC wasn't here then and secondly it wasn't free. Having said that the line about "tickets flying off the shelves" is a tad optimistic I think.
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Not bad at all, good for those able to turn up at SMS on two consecutive afternoons then. Hope Solent will be covering it for Saints Player as well.Put it up live even better.
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Just phoned up for mine. Tickets only being sold at ticket office. No Online or phone option Sold?? is it not free..
shurlock Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Just phoned up for mine. Tickets only being sold at ticket office. No Online or phone option How about if they slap on a booking fee to underwrite the latter's costs, would that make you happier?
benjii Posted 3 May, 2011 Author Posted 3 May, 2011 Sold?? is it not free.. It's free but you need a ticket.
The9 Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Well for one NC wasn't here then and secondly it wasn't free. Having said that the line about "tickets flying off the shelves" is a tad optimistic I think. Yais, noted, and already edited. I suppose if I've recovered from the BBQ...
benjii Posted 3 May, 2011 Author Posted 3 May, 2011 If sir requires a link: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2352029,00.html
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 It's free but you need a ticket. Yes I got that bit but given out was the expression needed not sold. No doubt there'll be tickets available after the game on Saturday though.
Liquidshokk Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Sold?? is it not free.. Yep free, sorry. Apparently haven't got enough time to post tickets out so have to collect in person.
hypochondriac Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Wow I feel very underwhelmed I suspect you will be one of a very small number.
benjii Posted 3 May, 2011 Author Posted 3 May, 2011 Shame MLT won't be there. I agree - it's such a shame he's damaged his relationship with the club over the last couple of years and made himself look a bit of a tool.
hypochondriac Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 I agree - it's such a shame he's damaged his relationship with the club over the last couple of years and made himself look a bit of a tool. Not really worth debating the rights and wrongs. It's just a shame he wont be there.
Thedelldays Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Wish I could go....just to see WGS in the dugout again...love that little fella
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Yep free, sorry. Apparently haven't got enough time to post tickets out so have to collect in person. Although the OS is at fault as well, says that tickets are on sale rather than available. Never mind, however I note that the official line has changed since yesterday as this is advertised as "getting the promotion party started" whereas yesterday we were "not up yet but in a good place".
SaintDonkey Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Shame MLT won't be there. The same MLT who recently announced on twitter that he was out running again? In training for something maybe? (okay it seems unlikely but just maybe...)
SaintNeil90 Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Today 12:34 AM #16 SaintNeil90 Full Member A few of my mates went to Staplewood on the way home and met the players. Had a few drinks with them etc. Cortese told them that they have lined up a game against the FA Cup final 2003 team and entry is free. Not sure if its true or not but thats what I was told. Ok it wasn't an FA Cup Final 03 team but close enough.
Whitey Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 They should have done it after the game on Saturday ... I think the first team might be a tad tired after that!
Matthew Le God Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 When will they announce the names of some of the 'stars' They already have... "Some of the names on show include the mainstays of our previous stint in the Premier League such as, Claus Lundekvam, Jason Dodd, Paul Jones and Egil Ostenstad, who will all be looking to prove that they've still got what it takes to mix it with the best of them!"
saintjay77 Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 No mention of MLT but that doesnt mean he is not part of it yet. Granted the bridges have been burnt so possibly not a part of it and would defo be a shame if not. But the names released dont make a full team so plenty of time to add MLT and others in there. What names not mentioned do most want to see in there? Shilts or Flowers in goal? Obviously players still contracted to clubs wont be there but it would be great to see Bridge and Beatie in there somehow. Shearer possibly? Any more?
70's Mike Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Saturday is the big game for me, i will p*ssed off if there is no celebration on that day
shurlock Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Saturday is the big game for me' date=' i will p*ssed off if there is no celebration on that day[/quote'] this
Gingeletiss Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Sold?? is it not free.. They are free, two per season ticket holder until midday Thursday, then on general release. Two 35 minute half's.
benjii Posted 3 May, 2011 Author Posted 3 May, 2011 Fair play to MLT - just did a positive interview on SSN about Chamberlain. From a golf course.
saint lard Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Saturday is the big game for me' date=' i will p*ssed off if there is no celebration on that day[/quote'] Agreed,i sincerely hope they don't curb the celebrations etc,i will be well miffed. Although it will also be nice for people that cannot attend the Walsall game to get a chance to show there appreciation and vice versa. Hopefully both occasions will be equally celebratory.
Window Cleaner Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 All in all a bit of a bonus for all the fans who are going to the UK just for Saturday's match,as well as all of the others of course. Hope they get a great turnout, then again I guess the club will make a little bit from the vending points, unless the beer is free as well....
Nexstar Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Agreed,i sincerely hope they don't curb the celebrations etc,i will be well miffed. Although it will also be nice for people that cannot attend the Walsall game to get a chance to show there appreciation and vice versa. Hopefully both occasions will be equally celebratory. I imagine the club sort of expect the pitch to be invaded on Saturday, so at the time they may struggle with a lap of honour
Saint_clark Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Sounds quality. Will be there if I can get it off work.
sammysaint Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 pitch invasion saturday might mess the pitch up tho ?
aintforever Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Hopefully the club will have the balls to invite MLT, would be odd having this sort of game without him there.
Saint_clark Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Hopefully the club will have the balls to invite MLT, would be odd having this sort of game without him there. ...but let's also remember that it's possible he was invited and declined. I personally expect to see him there, I think the silence from the Cortese-bashing press says it all.
beatlesaint Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 pitch invasion saturday might mess the pitch up tho ? They will ask the fans to stay off the pitch so the players can do a lap of honour on Saturday and I guess the wall of stewards will be around the touchline. I hope people allow the lap of honour to take place, invade the pitch when the players have finished if thats what they want to do :-)
Colbury Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Bet the players are p*ssed off. They were prob looking forward to going out on the smash Sat night.
Saint_clark Posted 3 May, 2011 Posted 3 May, 2011 Here's hoping Svensson and Claus are playing at CB.
