What result do you want on Saturday. With all due respect to Walsall i want a truly great victory to really get the party going. I know we all want a win, but i want a proper goal fest. Would really put the icing on the cake to finish in excess of 90 points and only a couple behind the league winners.

Would be nice if results go the right way and Walsall avoid relegation too. The whole stadium would be rocking at full time!

A win, don't want to be involved in any relegation allegations, we beat Walsall and then it's up to D+R to sort themselves out.

Anyway we owe Walsall one, probably cost us the title or at least an easier passage to automatic promotion because Brighton would have had to make at least the same effort against Huddesfield as they did against us.

I want to go out on a high, end the season with a goal-fest and a relaxed but professional performance. It will keep the positivity flowing into pre-season, show everyone else in the league that we are worthy of our promotion place, set the tone for the CCC and most importantly, give us fans something to get excited about.

Also hope Brighton lose.

Yes! Just to finish the season within one-win of their points total, despite a change in management at the start of the season.

I'd like us to win 17-0, purely for the irony.

If they had not parked the bus at SMS we would have won that game and this weekend could well have been a league champions decider weekend.

A win, not fussed about the scoreline, Saturday will be a party whatever happens.

Or maybe lose 8-0 just for lols, then Huddersfield will win by the odd goal having rested players for the play-offs

Then again if they hadn't missed a penalty we'd still need to at least draw this week-end and hope Huddersfield don't win 16-0.

That would give Bristol Rovers a chance of survival though if D+ R don't win.

League One no longer concerns me. :)

It's all ifs and buts, but the important thing is WE ARE GOING UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With a bit of luck and a spot of good management it will never concern us again.

Frightful,sh*tty, little league.Home of ginger headed, 5ft 2in midfield rottweillers and 7ft brick crapper front men.

Well a win - I remember going to a Euro qualifyer Sweden vs Latvia some years back. Sweden was already group winners so the game was a game to be played no more. Latvia won 1-0 and the Swedish FA had planned a big party afterwards with fireworks and stuff - and when the ref blew the final whistle people left the arena ****ed since the swedish players didnt care. So no party and the fireworks was only for the neighbours to the arena really. So therefor a WIN WIN WIN saturday so all players and fans can have a real party after the game and enjoy the day .

A win, then we'll have done it on our own merit, and not goal difference.

How is goal difference not "our own merit"?

I take your point that some daylight is a nice sort of feeling but frankly, a GD as superior as ours suggests we are much better than 3 points does IMO.

Win and win well.

Walsall should be ok anyway, as I don't see Daggers beating Posh at their place.

I want to see us get over 90 points and potentially only 2 points behind Brighton (they're away on the last day too!) That would be quality

A win - hopefully by a massive margin just to nail home the certainty that we ARE the best team in L1 and on the South coast, but glad just to win. I want us to go up auto regardless of GD. It's going to be a great day whatever the score - we are going up, we are going up!

We're not Brighton. I really want a win and it's our duty to try our best to win when so much is at stake for others down the bottom.

This. Funny how many people forget so quickly. We have obligations to others in this league to do our utmost to win the game - that is what I hope we do and achieve. Besides that, it would be good to win 2nd place outright with points as opposed to goal difference, and to achieve over 90 points.

Let the party begin....

a win of course...would be nice to see wallsall stay up anyway (im sure they will looking at the fixtures)

I can see adkins only making the odd change..

bart

Richardson...seaborne...fonte....harding

..........hammond

morgan............gobern

.........lallana

lambert....connolly

I want to be on the edge of my seat.

I want us to go 10 down in the first half hour and Huddersfield to slot 7 in. Then 85th minute I want Hudd to get an 8th. Then 93rd minute Lambo sticks one in the back of the net and we get promoted.

Now that would be entertaining - and it would really p!ss Udder Field right off.

A win for us and Walsall staying up would be perfect. If they get relegated there's always the chance of some idiots going on the pitch and then racing over to gloat. One big party for all in town after is what we need.

Good luck Walsall.

Is it only me that still has that little niggle of fear in the back of my mind still despite the fact we have done it. Hence why i want a convincing win. I suppose until i see that P beside us on the league table i wont be satisfied. Its just that in all the years im conditioned into seeing saints do bad. You never thought you could lose with 17 minutes to go 3 - 0 up! (sorry to bring that up)

Thats what makes this new era so good. What with the JPT win last year and now promotion i just cant get used to it. Its just so good to be a winner for once after years as a loser.

Long may it continue as it feels so bloody good!!!

Now that is a vision of hell ;)

Win as big as we can. Even when up 3-0, keep scoring. Give the fans the greatest performance of the season. Who knows, by beating Walsall we could maybe save little Dag & Red from relegation? (if Dag beats Peterborough)

Mathmatically (yeah I hate that word too) we still need a point. Screw Walsall (no offence) but we really should be winning this and winning this handsomely. It'd top the season off, it'd mathmatically guarantee us promotion, it'd make us look better in the league table, it'd improve our goal difference to make us the best goal difference in all the leagues (as has been pointed out), AND it'd give us a fantastic run of form to build on for next season.

I'd like to see Morgan with a game too, make him feel part of the party!

I'd like us to lose. We will then have had the double done over us by Walsall and Rochdale, but still achieved promotion. Will have to see what Poyet has to say about that one!

also, i'm quite bitter I'll be missing the last game of the season to - inconsiderately, one of my best mates decided to get married that day, and apparently it's bad karma for me to not go to their wedding. Gutted

I want a real massive win. 5 or 6 nil should do it.

A hat-trick for Lambert would also be quality so he finishes above Murray in the top scorers list. Just something else to **** off Brighton!

Posted

We absolutely battered them there but had no luck in front of goal - I'll settle for that with a bit of luck in front of goal...6-0 please!

Posted

A win to get us as close to Brighton as possible and also to keep this great run going. We'll need a good start next season so lets not lose the momentum.

It would a real 'result' on Saturday if our owners put in an appearance ..... whoever they are.

They've been at St Marys a few times over the last couple of months - you can see them in the executive box.
