doggface Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Now I confess that I have not seen an awful lot of championship games this year, but what I have seen has been pretty forgetable in the main. Topped off by the hoof-tastic Forest Vs Leeds game the other day, I thought I have not seen one game at St Marys this season where both teams have launched it for 90 mins. I know the Championship is quicker and imo more physical, but a question to you all..... Is the Championship more direct than L1?
Saintandy666 Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 The Championship is a much much much better league than league 1 in terms of quality.
saints-cris Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Maybe, but add in that the players are better, bigger, stronger, faster at whatever style they choose.

Yes I definately agree, however although the quality of opposition at SMS has been poor in the main, the football played has been pretty good. How will we adapt next year?
benjii Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 The Championship is a much much much better league than league 1 in terms of quality. I disagree actually, I think they're much of a muchness. The difference is that in the Championship you get the odd player that is clearly different class. We, however, have one or two of those ourselves. I think people forget how lucky we have been to have Davis, Fonte, Jaidi, Lallana, Chamberlain, Guly etc... Think back to some of the dross you saw at SMS last time we were in the Championship.
Thedelldays Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 you have to be far more consistant to do well in the champ..
doddisalegend Posted 2 May, 2011 Posted 2 May, 2011 Norwich give me hope we will do OK, couldn't beat us at three times of asking last season. Yes they added over the summer but many of the players are the same. If Holt can do all right at that level I have no worries about (a fit) Lambert.
